The Senior Technical Product Owner will lead client engagements while driving product strategy and execution for modern, AI-enabled solutions. This role partners closely with business stakeholders and engineering teams to translate client business objectives and end-user needs into scalable, high-impact product outcomes. The individual will serve as a key liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment on vision, priorities, and delivery.

The Senior Technical Product Owner is responsible for end-to-end product ownership, including defining product vision, shaping and maintaining roadmaps, and ensuring successful delivery of intelligent, scalable solutions. This includes leveraging modern AI platforms, tools, and frameworks to drive innovation, optimize user experience, and deliver measurable business value.  This role is 4 days a week on location of the client, located on Boston, MA.  

Responsibilities
  • Define and drive product vision, strategy, and success criteria, with a strong emphasis on AI-driven capabilities and measurable business value.
  • Lead discovery efforts to identify product opportunities, efficiencies, and cross-product dependencies using AI/ML, automation, and data-driven insights.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute product roadmaps, aligning business goals with technical feasibility and driving Planning Increment (PI) objectives.
  • Own and manage the product backlog, including prioritization and refinement to maximize value delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including engineering, data, and UX—to deliver scalable solutions leveraging AI/ML platforms, data pipelines, APIs, modern architectures, and generative AI use cases.
  • Act as the primary translator between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring clear, actionable requirements and alignment on AI-enabled features.
  • Build deep understanding of users, market trends, and the product ecosystem to advocate for product direction and innovation.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for the product, including knowledge of the technology stack and how customers derive business value.
  • Partner with stakeholders, clients, and product managers to define scope, refine requirements, and align on outcomes.
  • Communicate product vision, roadmap progress, risks, and delivery outcomes to stakeholders, including executive leadership.
  • Drive Agile delivery processes, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and PI planning, ensuring high-quality and predictable delivery.
  • Manage risks, dependencies, and trade-offs across multiple workstreams while maintaining product consistency and quality.
  • Assess the impact of product enhancements and align stakeholders on priorities and value realization.
  • Define, track, and analyze product metrics and KPIs to measure success and drive continuous improvement.
  • Introduce and implement new approaches, tools, and frameworks to improve product development processes and team effectiveness.
  • Stay current on emerging AI tools, platforms, frameworks, and industry trends, incorporating relevant advancements into product strategy.

 

Qualifications

These are the minimum qualifications required for someone to be considered for this position.

 

  • 7+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Technical Product Owner, or Product Manager
  • Strong experience working with engineering teams on complex technical products or platforms
  • Demonstrated experience delivering products leveraging AI/ML tools, platforms, or frameworks, including exposure to Generative AI and data-driven solutions
  • Solid understanding of modern application architectures and cloud ecosystems (Azure, AWS, or GCP), particularly AI/ML services
  • Expertise in Agile/Scrum methodologies within product development environments
  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into clear technical specifications and actionable work items
  • Experience managing product backlogs using tools such as Jira or Rally, and collaborating via Confluence, SharePoint, or similar platforms
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at the executive level
  • Experience defining, tracking, and analyzing product KPIs and success metrics to drive data-informed decisions
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking, product visioning, and the ability to align product direction with business objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support data-informed task execution.  
  • Familiarity with AI-enhanced platforms is a plus.  
  • A solid understanding of AI capabilities and limitations including ethical considerations is expected 
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset with a focus on delivering measurable outcomes
  • Experience leading or contributing to multiple workstreams, with project or program management experience considered a strong plus
  • Experience working in a consulting or client-facing environment preferred
  • Agile certification such as CSPO, PSPO, or similar credentials preferred

The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $64,974.00 to $149,880.00. Please note that the salary range posted reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits or any potential variable compensation programs.
