About the Role

Abnormal Security is looking for an ambitious and growth-minded Senior Product Manager to own a new high-priority, high-stakes product initiative within our core Cloud Email Security group — the flagship product area driving Abnormal's growth and market leadership.

Abnormal built the highest-efficacy AI-native email detection engine in the market. We help customers — from small and medium-sized businesses to Fortune 100 enterprises — stay safe from complex, cutting-edge cyberattacks that cause financial loss and disrupt business operations. Our AI-native approach to email security, account takeover detection, and adjacent use cases has made us one of the fastest-growing cybersecurity companies in the world.

In this role, you will have direct interaction with some of the largest enterprise customers in the world, setting strategy, driving execution, and helping Abnormal continue to protect customers from evolving and sophisticated attacks. If you are a technical PM who gets energized by hard infrastructure problems and wants to see your work translate directly into competitive wins and customer outcomes, this is the role for you.

What You Will Do
  • Own a high-priority roadmap in our core product area. Define and evolve a 9–12 month roadmap for a strategically critical initiative within Cloud Email Security, prioritizing against customer value, competitive positioning, and revenue impact.
  • Drive end-to-end product delivery. Lead cross-functional execution across Engineering, Design, Data, Sales, and Customer Success — from problem framing and PRDs through launch, instrumentation, and iteration. This role requires both strategic thinking and hands-on operational execution.
  • Solve technically complex customer problems. Run discovery with Fortune 500 enterprises to understand their operational realities and translate insights into clear problem statements and measurable outcomes. Go deep with Engineering on architecture and infrastructure tradeoffs that underpin the initiative.
  • Shape competitive positioning and GTM strategy. Help the GTM team articulate why Abnormal is the right choice for enterprises looking to move beyond legacy solutions — contributing to customer-facing messaging, analyst conversations, and sales enablement.
  • Own metrics and represent the product. Define and track KPIs including adoption, competitive win rates, and revenue impact. Serve as the domain expert in executive reviews, customer calls, and escalations.
  • Serve as the domain expert for your product areas in customer calls, escalations, executive reviews, and roadmap discussions—communicating clearly, managing tradeoffs, and building trust across the organization.
  • Lead in an AI-native way of working
Use AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT/Claude, v0, analytics platforms) and rapid prototyping to accelerate discovery, research, documentation, and UX exploration—raising the standard for how product work gets done at Abnormal.
Must-Have Qualifications
  • 6+ years of product management experience in software, with a strong track record of owning complex technical product areas end-to-end in B2B SaaS or similarly technical domains.
  • Proven experience working on deeply technical products, collaborating closely with engineering on architecture, scalability, or AI/ML–driven features, and reasoning through technical tradeoffs and constraints.
  • Demonstrated ability to own product strategy, definition, and roadmap for a product line or multiple complex surfaces—including problem framing, opportunity sizing, prioritization, and success metrics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with comfort using data (dashboards, experiments, or SQL/analysis in partnership with Data) to inform decisions and refine product direction in ambiguous spaces.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership, with the ability to drive alignment across Engineering, Design, GTM, and executives, and to represent the product in high-stakes or customer-facing scenarios.
  • High ownership, operational excellence, and attention to detail across documentation, planning, stakeholder management, and launch execution.
  • A growth mindset and willingness to learn quickly in a fast-paced, AI-native environment, including integrating new tools and workflows into your day-to-day product practice.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
  • Background in observability, infrastructure, platform, or detection products, especially roles that required learning the architecture underneath the product surface.
  • Experience in enterprise cybersecurity, security operations, or email security
  • Prior experience as a software engineer, data scientist, or in another technical role, or equivalent hands-on experience with distributed systems or AI-driven products.
  • Familiarity with AI-native workflows and rapid prototyping tools (e.g., Claude/ChatGPT, v0, Figma) to speed up discovery, ideation, and validation.
  • Experience working closely with GTM teams on competitive positioning, customer-facing messaging, and sales enablement
Why You’ll Thrive at Abnormal
You’ll thrive in this role if you:
  • Want to own a strategically important product initiative and see your work directly tied to competitive wins and revenue.
  • Are energized by technically complex, high-ambiguity problems and want the autonomy to define the approach, not just execute a backlog
  • Value high trust and high autonomy, and are excited to help shape both product strategy and the broader product management craft as Abnormal scales.
  • Want to work at the intersection of infrastructure, AI, and security — helping the largest enterprises in the world stay protected.
If you’re ready to own high-impact product lines, lead in the age of AI, and grow alongside a company building the future of cybersecurity, we’d love to talk.
