As Sr Director, Product Management, A&D, you will be responsible for creating and continuously evolving Cytiva’s portfolio of advanced digital products and services. The portfolio will harness Cytiva’s internal technology platforms, proprietary data, and external partner technologies to deliver unique and differentiated value to our customers.  Most critically, you will be responsible for capturing and curating Voice of Customer and mapping it to Cytiva solutions — continuously evolving the product portfolio and products themselves to meet customer needs. You will scout and identify critical technologies, build deep internal partnerships across Cytiva business units, develop external partnerships, construct business cases, advocate for project resources, build Go To Market strategies for products, and facilitate efficient and effective product lifecycle processes, and work closely with functional leadership to manage development and operating costs.  You will work with Cytiva Business Development to identify and deliver inorganic growth opportunities. You directly will recruit and lead a team of product portfolio and product managers, and integrate the work contributions of closely-aligned digital and physical R&D and commercial functions.

What you’ll do

  • Serve as a key stakeholder on the digital strategy governance board, taking a leading role in defining and evolving the strategy to deliver maximum value to customers and Cytiva
  • Accountable for the commercial and financial success of digital products
  • Translate the digital strategy into a portfolio of industry-leading products, and dynamically adjust the portfolio to push the edge of innovation, while identifying and mitigating necessary risks
  • Ensure the continuous improvement of Cytiva digital products, including steering the identification and development of NPI opportunities.
  • Define and review product business cases, go to market strategies, and guide their development from idea to launch to ongoing customer success. Applying a learning mindset to product development, launching ongoing experiments in the marketplace to assess product-market fit.
  • Represent Cytiva as a thought-leader and speaker in events and industry associations
  • Collaborate closely with supporting Cytiva business functions (software, hardware, consumables, data, marketing, sales, finance, manufacturing, supply chain) and Cytiva business units to deliver complete solutions.

Who you are

  • Advanced degree in a technical discipline or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 20 (twenty) years relevant leadership experience in product development, entrepreneurship, and/or commercialization in the biopharmaceutical and life sciences industry.
  • Experience with due diligence, Mergers & Acquisition and integration of assets into organizations and demonstrated strategic planning skills and experience
  • Exceptional communicator and public speaker. Able to convey the vision, path and impact of team activities to internal and external audiences at all career levels.
  • Demonstrated facilitation and negotiation skills in driving closure on product/program-related decisions/issues and proficient in lean product development methodologies
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills - communicates in a clear and succinct manner and effectively evaluates information / data to make decisions, anticipates obstacles and develops plans to resolve, creates actionable strategies and operational plans

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to travel as needed (majority international) to support various programs and integration initiatives ~ 30%
