Canals is a fully remote, profitable startup transforming the industrial supply chain ($10T industry) with AI. Our platform seamlessly integrates with the systems distributors already use, automating tedious tasks and reducing failure points in moving physical goods across the globe.
We’re a 70-person team (~45 in engineering), located across North and South America.
The RoleWe’re expanding our design team to help shape how distributors interact with AI-driven tools that simplify their daily work. As a Product Designer at Canals, you’ll turn complex supply chain processes into intuitive, elegant user experiences. You’ll collaborate closely with engineering, product, and customer teams to define problems, prototype solutions, and bring thoughtful design to life across our platform.
This role is perfect for someone who thrives in small teams, loves shipping fast, and cares deeply about usability and clarity in product design.
What You’ll DoOwn the end-to-end design process for core features—from discovery and user flows to polished UI.
Partner with engineers and PMs to define problems, explore solutions, and ship improvements quickly.
Translate complex data and workflows into simple, clear, and accessible interfaces.
Contribute to and evolve our design system, ensuring consistency and scalability.
Conduct user research, interviews, and usability testing to inform design decisions.
Balance hands-on design work with high-level product thinking and iteration.
Advocate for design excellence, empathy, and usability across the company.
Typically, 3–6 years of experience designing web-based software products (SaaS experience preferred).
Strong portfolio demonstrating UX strategy, visual design craft, and shipped features.
Expertise in Figma and comfort designing responsive web experiences.
Ability to translate business and user needs into practical, elegant solutions.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a remote, async environment.
Experience working in startups or small teams is a plus.
