About Topline Pro

We’re building AI powered Shopify for service businesses. We help service pros (e.g., roofers, landscapers, painters, cleaners) acquire direct business, fast. Up and running within minutes using Gen AI, our digital storefront products help pros get discovered, trusted, and booked repeatedly.

Topline Pro is co-founded by Nick Ornitz (CEO) and Shannon Kay (CPO) with an excellent team of 70+ rockstars with plans to expand more in 2025. We serve thousands of local service businesses and were named as one of the 2023 and 2024 top 50 Tech Companies building for SMBs.

We're YC-backed and well funded with several years of runway, and we’ve experienced rapid growth in the past year. We're in a phenomenal position to scale—with the financial foundation, product-market fit, and momentum to go big. You’ll be joining at an inflection point—where the groundwork is laid and the path to massive impact is clear.

We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our growing design team in Boston. This person will report to the Chief Product Officer and work cross-functionally on a dedicated pod (Product, Design, Eng) to craft intuitive, delightful products for our users. As an early member of our design team at a time of rapid growth, this designer will play a key role in shaping our design team and culture in the years ahead.

We believe “great candidates” do not come about through simply a checkmark next to past experiences. We believe in hiring people not just skills. Even if you do not check every box but find excitement at the prospect of working with us in this capacity, please apply.

⚡ What you'll do

  • Design new product features, with a strong focus on usability, visual clarity, and intuitive interaction patterns.

  • Conduct & synthesize user research to explore new product hypotheses, test concepts, and refine usability.

  • Partner closely with product managers and engineers to deliver features to production and iterate with live user feedback.

  • Collaborate with other designers to give and receive feedback, maintain a high bar for craft, and ensure cohesion across our product surfaces.

  • Contribute to our design system, ensuring consistency, scalability, and polish across all touchpoints.

  • Communicate design vision clearly through storytelling, reviews, and documentation that inspire cross-team alignment and excitement.

🎯 What we’re looking for

  • Have 5+ years of experience designing digital products at startups or high-growth tech companies.

  • Are fluent in Figma, component libraries, interaction design, and visual polish.

  • Think in systems but design for clarity — you sweat details while staying pragmatic.

  • Have a strong product sense and thrive in cross-functional, collaborative environments.

  • Are comfortable with ambiguity and can take ownership in shaping problem spaces.

  • Believe in shipping fast, testing often, and learning continuously.

  • Bonus: experience leveraging AI-powered prototyping platforms to bring design and interactions to life.

🤗 Who you are
  • You take extreme ownership over your design craft, obsessing over the UI/UX when delivering on new features, including within AI-powered interfaces.

  • You enjoy speaking with users to both explore new hypotheses and refine product experiences.

  • You are inventive and embrace new interfaces and AI driven, generative product experiences

🙌 What we offer
  • Full Medical, Dental, and Vision Health Coverage

  • Computer and workspace enhancements

  • Monthly stipend for mental and physical health

  • 401(k) plan (non-matching)

  • Unlimited vacation, 9 company holidays including election day, and 1 personal volunteer day a year

  • Company-paid Wellhub membership for fitness and wellness

  • Dinner covered with Uber Eats + a stocked kitchen to keep you fuele

  • Opportunity to take on significant responsibility and ownership in scaling a product that can change the lives of home service pros

  • Fun-filled team that doesn’t take themselves too seriously, including virtual cameos from the team dog mascots Caro and Alta

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
