Vercel gives developers the tools and cloud infrastructure to build, scale, and secure a faster, more personalized web. As the team behind v0, Next.js, and AI SDK, Vercel helps customers like Ramp, Supreme, PayPal, and Under Armour build for the AI-native web.

Our mission is to enable the world to ship the best products. That starts with creating a place where everyone can do their best work. Whether you're building on our platform, supporting our customers, or shaping our story: You can just ship things.

About the Role:

Vercel is looking for an experienced Senior Product Designer to join the team. In this role, you will be working across our entire product, talking to customers, supporting design initiatives, and creating thoughtful, systems-based solutions.

The design team at Vercel is comprised of talented, thoughtful humans working to solve challenges that are unique, complex, and nuanced—just like the web.

Designers at Vercel have broad creative license, and the freedom to create and lead new, design-driven projects. What You Will Do:
  • Report to our Director of Product Design and help Vercel further its core product and enter new markets through design and engineering partnership.
  • Contribute to the design process from gathering requirements, and delivering visual specifications, to overseeing implementation.
  • Set the creative bar for evolving design projects.
  • Establish guidelines and ensure they are enforced.
  • Collaborate with growth, content, and engineering teams, across the full customer lifecycle.
  • Create, and iterate flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals (including strategic decks and presentations).
  • Work closely with engineers and other partners to ensure a high-quality implementation.
  • Craft high quality work, inspire those around you, and help establish a design culture within the company.
About You:
  • 4+ years of experience in product design
  • Excellent visual, verbal, UI, and interaction skills.
  • Well-rounded, comprehensive experience designing interactive products.
  • Passion to deliver customer delight.
  • Experience with frontend frameworks, developer tooling, and managed infrastructure.
  • Production code (React, Next.js) is a plus.
  • Animation experience is a plus.
What we value:
  • Passion for design and figuring out best-in-class solutions to UX, UI and interaction challenges.
  • Ability to think through complex interaction design.
  • Clear expression of ideas through comprehensive prototypes.
  • Experience with design systems and software engineering.
  • A great collaborative teammate capable of delivering and receiving feedback.
Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation package, including equity.
  • Inclusive Healthcare Package.
  • Learn and Grow - we provide mentorship and send you to events that help you build your network and skills.
  • Flexible Time Off.
  • We will provide you the gear you need to do your role, and a WFH budget for you to outfit your space as needed.

The San Francisco, CA base pay range for this role is $156,000–$234,000. This salary range is an estimate. Actual salary will be based on job-related skills, experience, and location. The total compensation package also includes benefits and equity-based compensation. Your recruiter can share more about the specific pay range for your location during the hiring process.

Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
