This is a first line of defence hands-on role, embedded in the Global Product Account Squad.

You will be owning projects and making decisions in the following areas:

  • Support Product Managers in the new products and features life cycle, for them to understand the regulatory and risk requirements quickly, optimising the time at which compliance clarity is obtained, including taking initiative in reviewing different local regulatory requirements

  • Translate and implement regulatory requirements, for Product and Engineering teams to seamlessly execute on

Risk and controls:

  • During exams and audits, lead Wise response in regard to Account by challenging any assumption that is not a correct reflection of the Wise’s Risk and Controls framework, and coordinate evidencing controls as necessary

  • Define the Regulatory and Financial Crime Risk metrics for Global Account product and features, that regional entities can consume and localise

  • Coordinate prioritisation and efforts on issues, ensuring any necessary remediation is executed in a timely manner

Reporting and external engagement:

  • Monitor and report on the health of the Global Account program in front of internal and external stakeholders (Global Committees, Regulators, Internal and External Audit, Banking Partners)

  • Lead the Global Account discussions and forums with clear action plans and updates on previously identified issues

  • Take part in industry associations initiatives where markets relevant to Wise are discussed, and actively represent Wise in engaging with legislative and regulatory consultations when relevant to the Account Product

This role will give you the opportunity to:

  • Grow your hands-on Fintech knowledge at full speed

  • Keep Compliance right at the heart of the product and engineering development cycle, in a fast-moving environment

  • Be empowered to identify regulatory and compliance issues or opportunities and take a lead in execution

Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
