The Digital Platform Strategist is a collaborative, cross-functional practitioner who partners with enterprise clients to define, orchestrate, and activate the marketing technology (MarTech) ecosystems that power personalized, connected customer experiences. This role bridges business strategy, marketing operations, customer insights, and platform capabilities ensuring clients maximize the value across platform categories such as Content Management System (CMS), Customer Data Platform (CDP), Digital Asset Management (DAM), Experimentation and Personalization within the Sitecore, Optimizely, and Contentstack ecosystem. 
 

You will guide clients in understanding what’s possible, how to mature, and how to activate MarTech investments through experience optimization, content operations, data foundations, and automation. This role is consultative, technical, creative, and highly collaborative. 


What you’ll do: 

Strategic Consulting & CX Vision 

  • Lead discovery sessions with marketing, digital, IT, and product stakeholders to define business goals and map them to MarTech enabled CX outcomes. 
  • Build platform activation roadmaps that clarify use cases, dependencies, data flows, content requirements, and measurable KPIs. 
  • Translate complex technical capabilities into actionable strategies that marketing and business teams can understand and execute. 
  • Develop maturity assessments across personalization, content operations, data readiness, testing/optimization, and marketing automation. 

MarTech Platform and Ecosystem Expertise 

  • Serve as a subject matter expert across platforms such as: 
  • - Content Platforms: Sitecore (SitecoreAI, XM Cloud, XP, Content Hub), Optimizely (CMS, CMP, Opal) and Contentstack (Content Cloud, Data Cloud, Agent OS). 
  • - Customer Data and Personalization: Customer Data Platform (CDP), experimentation platforms, real-time decisioning, and AI-driven personalization tools. 
  • Assess clients’ current-state platform usage and identify opportunities to unify data, content, automation, and analytics. 
  • Work with lead strategists, solution architects, and technical teams to translate strategy into platform configurations, integration requirements, and implementation plans. 

Personalization & Content Operations Strategy 

  • Create frameworks for content orchestration, taxonomy, tagging, modular content, metadata design, and governance. 
  • Define personalization approaches in relation to audience segmentation, journeys, triggers, content decisioning, and testing methodologies. 
  • Partner with creative and content teams to ensure messaging and content structures align with platform capabilities. 

Client Leadership & Collaboration 

  • Act as a strategic advisor and platform evangelist for senior marketing and digital leaders. 
  • Partner with client partners, project managers, designers, engineers, and analysts to ensure alignment between strategy and execution. 
  • Present recommendations, POV’s, and roadmaps to executive stakeholders with clarity and confidence. 
  • Contribute to new business pursuits, including vision decks, RFP responses, and workshop facilitation. 

Development & Mentoring 

  • Develop thought leadership and support business development. 
  • Mentor and manage team members, while contributing to and advancing the Strategy competency.  

What you bring: 

Required 

  • 5–10+ years of experience in digital strategy, MarTech consulting, CX/UX strategy, or marketing operations. 
  • Hands-on understanding of MarTech platforms such as CMS, CDP, DAM, marketing automation, and testing/optimization tools. 
  • Proven ability to translate business objectives into actionable digital strategies and platform activation plans. 
  • Experience defining content architecture, governance models, and personalization programs. 
  • Strong analytical thinking with comfort interpreting data and shaping measurable KPIs. 
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build trust among technical and non-technical stakeholders. 

Preferred 

  • Experience working within or consulting for enterprise organizations with complex stakeholder models. 
  • Familiarity with AI-powered content generation workflows, journey orchestration, and predictive analytics. 
  • Understanding of privacy, compliance, and consent management frameworks. 
  • Background in customer journey mapping, service design, or product strategy. 
  • Certifications in Sitecore, Optimizely, Contentstack or other leading digital experience platforms. 

 Travel

  • Some travel required based on client and business needs
