ITTConnect is seeking a Senior Next.js Tech Lead / Solution Architect to work for in a client's project. This person is preferred to be based in Atlanta, GA but a remote option is available.
We are seeking a highly senior, hands-on Next.js Architect / Tech Lead to step into a critical enterprise web implementation already in flight.
This is not a UI development role — the React and AEM development teams are already in place.
We need a true technical lead who can act as the architectural “glue” between frontend, CMS, APIs, infrastructure, and deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and own a modern Next.js App Router implementation for a large-scale enterprise website
- Design rendering strategies using SSR, SSG, ISR, and advanced caching/revalidation techniques
- Integrate Next.js with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Headless / GraphQL APIs
- Establish scalable deployment pipelines, hosting architecture, and CI/CD processes
- Enable frontend teams by abstracting backend/server-side complexity into reusable patterns
- Drive production readiness, scalability, security, and Lighthouse/web performance optimization
Important:
We are not looking for standard React developers or candidates whose Next.js experience is primarily limited to component development.
Requirements
- 3+ years of deep hands-on experience with Next.js App Router architecture (not just standard React or older Pages Router systems)
- Strong expertise with SSR, SSG, ISR, caching strategies, revalidation, and CORS
- Experience leading enterprise-grade website launches in production environments
- Strong understanding of API integration patterns and GraphQL
- Ability to operate independently with minimal ramp-up time
Strongly Preferred:
- Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) as a Cloud Service
- AEM Headless / Content Fragments / GraphQL delivery model
- Experience with Vercel, AWS, or enterprise deployment infrastructure
