About the Position

The Senior Marketing Operations Analyst reports directly to the Chief Marketing Officer.

We are looking for a Senior Marketing Operations Analyst to build, evolve, and run the operational discipline that enables marketing to execute consistently, measure performance, and scale effectively. This role sits at the intersection of marketing strategy, campaign execution, data, technology, and our broader go-to-market motion. It is both a strategic and operational role: you will partner with marketing leadership to shape how we prioritize, what approaches we take, and how we bring our strategy to life, then ensure the systems, processes, and data deliver on those decisions.

This is a senior individual-contributor role for someone who can take ambiguous business requirements, apply strong analytical and operational judgment, and translate marketing priorities into scalable processes. You will be expected to bring a point of view, informed by what's technically possible, what's the best use of our budget and time, and what will ultimately allow the team to grow reach, awareness, pipeline, and revenue impact.

This is a remote role with travel of up to 20%.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with brand, community, events, growth, and other marketing team members to translate the marketing strategy and related tactics into scalable and operational workflows.
  • Manage system and program structure, setup, tracking, and governance across marketing automation, events management, and related platforms.
  • Establish repeatable processes for campaign launches, list management, segmentation, testing, and handoffs.
  • Own the email and program calendar, making recommendations for prioritization based on operational capacity, complexity, and expected business impact.
  • Own the operational processes supporting lead capture, scoring, qualification, routing, and sales operations handoff.
  • Partner with sales operations to maintain clear definitions, processes, and documentation across funnel stages, ensuring marketing and sales have a shared understanding of lead status and ownership.
  • Build and maintain reporting that gives marketing leaders visibility into program execution, conversion, and effectiveness. Partner with growth to connect these insights to full-funnel reporting.
  • Analyze programs to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Translate analysis into clear recommendations for business partners.
  • Reconcile data across systems and investigate unexpected or inconsistent reporting outcomes.
  • Serve as a recognized expert across marketing automation, 6sense, Unify, and related GTM tools, understanding not just how they work but how they connect to support the marketing strategy in driving business outcomes.
  • Partner with Revenue Systems & Architecture on integrations, technical enhancements, and platform changes requiring deeper systems expertise.
  • Based on what you know about the marketing strategy, how we work, and how the marketing landscape is evolving, proactively evaluate new technologies, AI tools, and capabilities that could improve marketing speed, efficiency, or effectiveness. Bring forward recommendations with a clear business case. Challenge the status quo: identify where current tools, processes, or approaches are limiting the team and propose better alternatives.
  • Support rollout, adoption, governance, and continuous improvement of standardized marketing workflows.

Success in This Role Looks Like

  • Operational discipline: marketing has repeatable, trusted processes for program execution, lead management, measurement, and sales handoff.
  • Funnel clarity: marketing and sales have clear visibility into lead flow, pipeline by channel and program, conversion, ownership, and where execution is breaking down.
  • Scalability: recurring marketing work becomes standardized and increasingly automated, freeing capacity for analysis, optimization, and higher-value work.
  • Business impact: operational improvements measurably contribute to pipeline generation, reach, and marketing team velocity.
  • Innovation: the marketing tech stack and processes evolve continuously, informed by new tools, AI capabilities, and a clear-eyed view of what's worth the investment.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing operations, revenue operations, marketing analytics, demand generation, or a comparable GTM operations role.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce and Marketo platforms, including campaign management, reporting, segmentation, and lead lifecycle management.
  • Depth and breadth of expertise in marketing operations with working knowledge of related disciplines including sales operations, revenue systems, and GTM analytics.
  • Strong analytical, data-reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into scalable operational processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence decisions, communicate complex concepts to non-technical audiences, and advise leaders on operational approach and prioritization.
  • Comfortable operating independently in ambiguous or evolving environments with strong attention to detail and sound business judgment. Requires guidance only in the most complex situations.
  • Track record of proactively identifying and evaluating new techniques, technologies, and approaches to improve marketing effectiveness.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience applying AI tools or automation to marketing operations workflows.
  • Experience with 6sense, Unify, or similar account-based marketing and outbound platforms.
  • Experience supporting lead scoring, routing, attribution, funnel measurement, and campaign governance.
  • Experience supporting a transition toward a more structured account-based or outbound GTM motion.

  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
