About the Role:
We're looking for a strategic, customer-obsessed, and data-driven Sr. Marketing Manager to lead new customer growth for Remitly's Canada market. You'll drive end-to-end marketing strategy and execution—while also acting as a key voice of the customer, influencing how we bring Remitly to market and optimize the new customer journey.
You'll be responsible for new customer acquisition (NCA) across all channels, while also keeping a pulse on market dynamics, competitive activity, and customer experience across the funnel. You will blend growth marketing with key product marketing functions—ensuring our strategy is not only performance-driven but also rooted in deep customer and market insight.
You'll work closely with channel leads, the Business Management team, and product marketers to shape the best approach for Canada. You'll also develop test-and-learn plans to scale what works and directly contribute to growing Remitly's footprint and customer base in Canada.
You will report to our VP of Growth Marketing and will work 3+ days a week in our New Westminster, BC office
You Will:
- Own NCA goals in Canada, ensuring delivery against CAC targets.
- Own Remitly's growth marketing strategy for the Canada market, coordinating across all channels — paid, owned, promo, lifecycle, and creative.
- Act as a regional owner of the new customer journey, working cross-functionally to identify gaps, friction points, and opportunities to improve experience and conversion.
- Partner with global channel leads to localize campaigns and execution plans that resonate with customers in Canada.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community organizations, influencers, and ambassadors to drive revenue, expand reach, and elevate brand visibility.
- Develop and manage a robust testing roadmap focused on optimizing messaging, creative, targeting, and promotions.
- Monitor performance closely and surface actionable insights to optimize spend and maximize customer acquisition.
- Analyze campaign, customer, and competitive data to inform growth strategy and strengthen product-market fit.
- Partner with the Business Management team on planning, performance reviews, and prioritization of regional initiatives.
- Lead creative briefing and asset development, ensuring clear, compelling, and culturally relevant campaigns across all touchpoints.
- Stay ahead of market and competitive trends to identify new opportunities for expansion and optimization.
You Have:
- 10+ years of experience in growth marketing, product marketing, or a hybrid role owning full-funnel new customer acquisition and engagement.
- Proven success in driving regional growth strategy and execution across digital, lifecycle, and promotional channels, using data to build compelling narratives.
- Strong ability to assess end-to-end new customer experiences and influence improvements across teams.
- Demonstrated success building testing agendas and executing iterative growth experiments.
Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is $152,000-190,000. In Canada, Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
