About the Role:

As a Software Development Engineer II reporting to the engineering manager on the Small and Micro Business Payments team, you'll help develop backend services that support our business payment solutions. You'll work with Go/TypeScript and AWS to create scalable, reliable, and efficient systems. We are looking for strong collaborator, who can work across team and roles with platform engineers, product managers, and other engineers.

You Will:

  • Build backend services in Go on AWS, and frontend features in TypeScript and React
  • Deliver end to end complex projects and product features, with high autonomy and quality
  • Partner with product managers and engineers across teams to help achieve product and business goals

You Have:

  • 4 or more years of experience in writing software in general purpose languages like Go, Java or Typescript
  • 2 or more years of experience developing fullstack applications - preferably using React-native and Go or TypeScript.
  • Understanding of basic web development concepts, such as RESTful APIs, HTTP protocol, and database management.
  • Knowledge of software development principles, including version control, testing, and debugging.

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is $116,000 - $145,000. In Canada, Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
