You will serve as the senior-most events leader within the Communications & Brand team, setting the vision for how Presidio shows up at high-visibility, high-stakes moments, and building the team, processes, and vendor relationships needed to deliver best-in-class experiences at scale. This role requires a strategic operator who can balance big-picture brand storytelling with meticulous, on-the-ground logistics management, and who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Location:

This is a Virtual (remote) position, open to candidates based anywhere in the U.S.

Travel Requirements:

This position requires regular travel of approximately 35-50% to support on-site event execution, site visits, vendor walkthroughs, industry conferences, and leadership/field engagements. Travel volume may fluctuate seasonally based on the corporate events calendar.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Own the end-to-end strategy and execution for Presidio's corporate events portfolio, including customer/partner conferences, executive summits, industry trade shows, internal leadership meetings, and regional field events.
  • Partner with Communications & Brand, Marketing, Sales, and executive leadership to define event objectives, audience strategy, and success metrics that align with broader corporate and brand priorities.
  • Lead site selection, contract negotiation, and vendor management for venues, production companies, AV/staging partners, caterers, and other third-party suppliers, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Build and manage detailed event budgets, timelines, and workback schedules, tracking spend against plan and identifying efficiencies without compromising the attendee experience.
  • Direct on-site event operations, including run-of-show management, staging and production oversight, speaker/executive support, and real-time issue resolution.
  • Develop and lead a high-performing events team, providing mentorship, setting clear priorities, and building scalable processes, templates, and SOPs for repeatable, professional execution.
  • Collaborate with Communications & Brand on messaging, signage, swag, stage design, and content to ensure every event experience reinforces Presidio's brand voice and visual identity.
  • Manage executive and speaker logistics, including briefing materials, rehearsal coordination, and on-site support for leadership participating in keynotes, panels, or customer meetings.
  • Track and report on event performance and ROI, using attendee feedback, engagement data, and post-event analysis to continuously improve future programming.
  • Manage risk and contingency planning for all events, including weather, safety, budget overruns, and last-minute logistical changes.

Required Skills:

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in corporate events, meeting/conference planning, or experiential marketing, including at least 3+ years in a senior leadership capacity.
  • Proven track record leading large-scale, high-visibility corporate events (500+ attendees) from concept through post-event wrap-up.
  • Strong vendor and budget management skills, including contract negotiation, cost control, and ROI tracking.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent events and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong executive presence and stakeholder management skills, with experience supporting C-suite and senior leadership at events.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and sharp attention to detail, particularly under high-pressure, live-event conditions.
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience, including hiring, developing, and managing an events team.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 35-50%, including some evenings/weekends as event schedules require.

Additional Desired Skills:

  • Experience in technology, IT services, or B2B enterprise environments.
  • Familiarity with event management/registration platforms (e.g., Cvent, Bizzabo, Splash) and project management tools.
  • Experience producing hybrid or virtual event components (livestreaming, webcasting).
  • Background collaborating with Communications & Brand or Marketing teams on integrated campaign moments.
  • Experience managing trade show/conference sponsorships and booth presence.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Hospitality/Event Management, Business, or equivalent experience.
