The Senior Manager US Operations Strategy will develop and implement strategies, manage key projects, conduct analyses, and engage stakeholders to optimize operations and ensure alignment with company priorities.
About the Department
The Strategy & Executive Office (SEO) organization is responsible for setting the short, mid, and long-term strategy for Novo Nordisk, Inc and ensures flawless execution of our key priorities. This encompasses long-term strategic planning, empowering and supporting leaders to successfully execute on strategic priorities, as well as driving and delivering high impact enterprise and business unit projects deemed critical to our future success. Furthermore, the Executive Office is responsible for supporting the President of NNI directly to ensure the pull through of priorities to set the direction for the entire organization.
The Position
The Senior Manager US Operations Strategy supports in the development and implementation of the US Operations Strategy. This includes driving key strategic projects, doing quantitative and qualitative analyses, engaging stakeholders across the business, and keeping updated with external and internal factors that impact our strategy.
Relationships
This position reports to the Vice President, Enterprise Strategy and interacts / liaises with key stakeholders, within as well as outside the Novo Nordisk organization, to achieve goals and priorities.

Qualifications
The base compensation range for this position is $ 116,810 to $ 216,100. Base compensation is determined based on a number of factors. This position is also eligible for a company bonus based on individual and company performance.

Essential Functions
- Drive and manage key activities and analyses anchored in Enterprise Strategy, to develop and implement overall strategy, strategic initiatives, capabilities, ensure operating effectiveness, secure organizational efficiencies or maximize performance opportunities, in alignment with company priorities, strategic direction and Novo Nordisk Way
- Develop and maintain integrated project plans under direction from supervisor, reflecting the approved balance of scope, time and resources
- Conduct key communications initiatives for the ES team
- Provide project management support for a variety of initiatives, managing deliverables in accordance with budget, scope, schedule and staffing; supporting relevant progress reporting and follow-up
- Drive / support the internal and external communications as required for effective alignment, follow-through and execution of assignments
- Support the monitoring of key metrics to inform decisions that maximize returns across ES initiatives and programs. Support analysis of multi-faceted, complex issues and identification of new solutions, concepts and tools to continuously improve performance - both within and across functional areas
- Support assessment of initiatives and participate in development efforts, e.g. strategies, pre-analysis, proposals, business cases
- Support development of ES deliverables on an as-needed basis, including communication for diverse internal and external audiences such as Executive Management team, Strategy Forum and Extended Strategy Team
- Contribute to the overall development of the ES Team

Qualifications
- A Bachelors degree required. Masters degree in relevant area preferred
- PMP certification preferred
- 8+ years overall, of relevant progressive business experience
- Significant, proven project management and problem-solving experience, with demonstrated ability to develop practical solutions to unstructured problems with limited oversight
- Ability to effectively prioritize, execute and follow-up in a timely manner, anticipating problems and roadblocks
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills for executive level communication and collaboration
- Strong collaborative & stakeholder management skills required
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills required
