Reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer, the Senior Manager, Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting will be responsible for establishing the SEC Reporting Department technical accounting research, interpretation and implementation of all new and existing accounting pronouncements guiding the organization on proper accounting treatment for anticipated transactions and for complex accounting matters. In this role, you'll be a key leader, collaborating with various functional groups, in the drafting of Lime’s S-1 for its IPO. Post IPO, you'll lead the preparation of financial statements, filing of Form 10-Q, 10-K and other SEC filings as needed, and providing review and support of earnings release and investor relations related materials.

What you'll do:

  • Financial Reporting

  • Establish the Company’s SEC Reporting Department

  • Preparation of the Company’s annual financial statements and notes in accordance with US GAAP for private companies.

  • Assist in the preparation and validation of private investor reporting materials including preparation and reporting of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.

  • Collaboration with global statutory reporting teams to improve efficiency in statutory reporting requirements through leveraging or enabling technology and reporting tools.

  • Collaborate with cross functional groups, including Legal, Finance, Operations and HR, as well as external advisors, in drafting the S-1 for Lime’s IPO filing and revising it according to SEC comments.

  • Lead SEC GAAP adoption to convert private company financial statements to public company requirements.

  • Lead external financial reporting tool/system implementation/enhancements efforts, in collaboration with external consultants, to implement the company's XBRL tagging system.

  • Post IPO, manage the timely and accurate preparation and submission of all external financial reports, including reports filed with the SEC on Form 10-Q, 10-K ensuring financial statements and required schedules are in accordance with US GAAP and SEC requirements.

  • Manage preparation of certain aspects of materials to be presented to the audit committee of the board of directors and coordinate presentation topics with other departments, including Tax, Treasury, Finance, and Internal Audit, and the external auditors.

  • Assessment and reconciliation of non-GAAP reporting metrics in accordance with Company policy and SEC rules and regulations.

  • Prepare and manage the quarterly SEC reporting calendar, including coordination with external auditors, executives, finance, legal and investor relations departments.

  • Collaborate with cross functional leaders and provide guidance on the evolving global ESG reporting requirements and evaluation of their impact on external reporting and filings with the SEC.

  • Technical Accounting and Accounting Policy

  • Providing accounting guidance to cross-functional teams on complex or new/emerging transactions, ensuring compliance and appropriate application of US GAAP.

  • Writing and reviewing accounting positions according to GAAP.

  • Inventorying and drafting global accounting policies and procedures.

  • Advising management of trends and changes in reporting requirements and making recommendations on best practices for any reporting changes.

  • Coordinate with affiliates to aggregate monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated financial information, including leading pre-close meetings with affiliates to identify and resolve complex accounting matters.

  • Work with internal stakeholders to provide accounting guidance for newly issued accounting rules and determine implications resulting from contemplated or executed transactions and contracts.

  • Internal Controls

  • Achieve SOX compliance.

  • Maintain a comprehensive cross-functional internal control structure, actively monitoring controls for compliance and enhancing controls as business process improvements occur.

  • Collaboration

  • Liaising with external auditors and regulatory agencies.

  • Drive continuous improvements in the efficiency and effectiveness of business processes impacting finance and accounting.

  • Work in a cross-functional and collaborative role spanning Operations, FP&A, Legal, Tax, Treasury, HR, Shared Services Accounting, to align on company directives and assess their impact on technical accounting and financial reporting.

About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.

  • CPA certification, with compliance with annual CPE required.

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in SEC reporting, in a public company or public accounting firm.

  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of SEC regulations, US GAAP, and PCAOB standards with very strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Skilled in problem solving, making decisions, being a self-starter and working effectively under pressure while meeting deadlines.

  • Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work cooperatively in a team environment across a global organization.

  • Continuous improvement thinker, capable of identifying and delivering end-to-end process and technology improvement.

  • This is a remote position based in the United States, with a requirement that the individual hired in this role reside in the Eastern Time Zone or Central Time Zone

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with drafting S-1 for IPO filings is highly desirable.
