Team leadership & management

  • Directly manage a globally distributed team of talent acquisition partners, providing day-to-day leadership, coaching, and performance management.

  • Set clear goals and kpis for the team, conduct regular 1:1s, and hold team members accountable to delivery standards and candidate experience benchmarks.

  • Manage team capacity and workload across time zones, ensuring equitable distribution and sustainable performance.

  • Identify development needs within the team and actively build capability through coaching, feedback, and stretch opportunities.

  • Handle team escalations independently, resolving issues related to hiring manager relationships, candidate management, agency disputes, or process breakdowns without routine escalation to the VP.

  • Personally execute on executive level search assignments and improve process.

Global recruitment delivery

  • Oversee end-to-end recruitment delivery across all functions and geographies, ensuring consistent process, quality, and speed.

  • Maintain deep, current knowledge of global saas and B2B tech talent markets, including compensation benchmarks, competitor hiring activity, and candidate expectations across key regions.

  • Own TA reporting, producing regular insights including pipeline health, quality of hire, source of hire, diversity metrics, and team productivity.

  • Translate data into clear narratives and recommendations for P&C and business leadership.

  • Proactively flag trends, risks, and opportunities, bringing the VP informed perspectives, not just raw data.

Compliance & governance

  • Ensure all recruitment activity complies with applicable employment legislation across all operating regions, including the US, australia, and any other active markets.

  • Uphold nearmap's values, policies, and code of conduct, and ensure the TA team operates to the same standards.

  • Comply with all state and federal legislative requirements.

  • Act in an ethical way when dealing with company assets and other people.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of talent acquisition experience, with a strong mix of in-house and ideally some agency background.

  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
