The Opportunity

We are seeking an accomplished and strategic Senior Manager of Revenue Accounting & Operations to lead Superhuman’s revenue accounting function through a period of accelerated growth, evolving monetization, and increasing organizational complexity.

This leader will oversee revenue accounting and operations, owning end-to-end revenue accounting and operational processes. You’ll bring a strong combination of technical accounting expertise, operational rigor, and strategic thinking to support a fast-growing, increasingly complex business. In this role, you will lead revenue close and order-to-cash operations, partner cross-functionally across the company, and help scale systems, processes, and controls that support evolving products and monetization models.

In this role you will:

  • Lead month-end close activities related to revenue recognition and commissions, ensuring accurate, timely, and insightful reporting of revenue results to management.
  • Oversee billings and collections operations, ensuring timely invoicing, cash collection, and adherence to company policies.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Sales Operations, Legal, Product, Financial Reporting, and Technical Accounting to streamline and continuously improve the end-to-end order-to-cash process.
  • Manage multiple priorities concurrently in a detail-oriented environment without compromising quality, accuracy, or deadlines.
  • Support new business initiatives, product launches, and evolving revenue models through thoughtful accounting analysis and operational execution.
  • Own revenue-related audit areas, serving as a key point of contact for external auditors and internal stakeholders.
  • Drive systems enhancements and automation initiatives to improve efficiency, scalability, and data integrity.
  • Lead ad hoc projects that support broader finance, accounting, and company-wide initiatives.
  • Act as a subject-matter expert in revenue accounting and operations, taking full ownership of projects from initial analysis through implementation.
Qualifications
  • Has 10+ years of progressive experience in Revenue Accounting, ideally within a high-growth technology or SaaS environment.
  • Demonstrates strong operational and technical knowledge of US GAAP, with deep expertise in ASC 606.
  • Holds an active CPA or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Brings a combination of experience from both a SaaS technology company and a Big 4 accounting firm.
  • Has hands-on experience with NetSuite and Salesforce. Knowledge of Stripe and cash applications is a plus.
  • Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and approaches challenges with a solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Communicates complex accounting concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical partners.
  • Is comfortable operating with ownership, accountability, and an enterprise-wide perspective.
  • Has a demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal guidance, proactively manages tasks and priorities across multiple projects, analyzes and executes work efficiently, collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams, and thrives in fast-paced, results-driven environments.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
