Recognized as the No. 1 site trusted by real estate professionals, Realtor.com® has been at the forefront of online real estate for over 25 years, connecting buyers, sellers, and renters with trusted insights and expert guidance to find their perfect home. Through its robust suite of tools, Realtor.com® not only makes a significant impact on the real estate industry at large, but for consumers, navigating the biggest purchase they will make in their life, by providing a user experience that is easy to use, easy to understand, and most of all, easy to make decisions.

Join us on our mission to empower more people to find their way home by breaking barriers to entry, making the right connections, and building confidence through expert guidance.

We are midway through a shift from an embedded QA model to an enablement model in which every squad owns its outcomes. As the Senior Manager, Quality Engineering, you will guide that transformation, building self-service quality capabilities, coaching engineers to “shift left,” and introducing AI-driven automation so we ship better code faster.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with the Head of Quality to convert strategy into quarterly objectives and key results for more than 40 product squads.
  • Build and evangelize self-service quality platforms for test generation, data management, CI/CD integration, and observability.
  • Implement AI-driven code-review guards (LLM-based static analysis, pull-request copilots) that surface defects before code merges.
  • Pilot and scale GenAI or ML tools that accelerate test creation, root-cause analysis, and release decisions.
  • Define and publish quality and reliability metrics such as escaped-defect rate, flaky-test burn-down, and mean time to detect.
  • Lead and develop a distributed team of quality engineers embedded in squads, coaching them to raise the engineering bar.
  • Run continuous-improvement rituals including blameless post-incident reviews and defect-prevention workshops.
  • Partner with Engineering, Product, and Design to embed quality and observability into architecture and release planning from day one.
  • Rationalize external vendors and spend, negotiate contracts that align to automation and AI goals, and sunset legacy manual-testing engagements.

How We Work:

We balance creativity and innovation on a foundation of in-person collaboration. For most roles, our employees work three or more days in our offices, where they have the opportunity to collaborate in-person, adding richness to our culture and knitting us closer together.

What you'll bring:

  • 10+ years in software quality engineering, including five or more years leading high-performing teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated success transforming embedded QA groups into enablement functions at scale (100+ engineers).
  • Deep expertise in test-automation frameworks, cloud-native CI/CD, and shift-left quality techniques.
  • Hands-on experience launching AI or ML tools for static analysis, code review, defect prediction, or automated testing.
  • Data-driven decision maker who uses metrics and experimentation to influence change.

Who you are:

Inspirational leader and servant coach who unblocks teams, builds community, and evangelizes new practices across functions.

How we Reward you:

Realtor.com® is committed to investing in the health and wellbeing of our employees and their families. Our benefits programs include, but are not limited to:

  • Inclusive and Competitive medical, Rx, dental, and vision coverage
  • Family forming benefits
  • 13 Paid Holidays
  • Flexible Time Off
  • 8 hours of paid Volunteer Time off
  • Immediate eligibility into Company 401(k) plan with 3.5% company match
  • Tuition Reimbursement program for degreed and non-degreed programs
  • 1:1 personalized Financial Planning Sessions
  • Student Debt Retirement Savings Match program
  • Free snacks and refreshments in each office location

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
