The Senior Product Development Manager will develop and manage a process to assess and implement new emerging capabilities that align with our product strategy by market segment. This position will also be the business lead for the overall program infrastructure including evaluating the effectiveness of solutions and performance against KPIs. This management position is also responsible for product strategy in development including the creation of product roadmaps to support the development of next generation products.

The Senior Product Development Manager is responsible for leading the assessment of technologies and solutions to support health and well-being. This includes using market research and consumer insights to create actionable product and marketing strategies. The Senior Product Manager will have exhibit effective cross-functional project management and leadership, implement nimble business strategies, build and market innovative new products benefits and services, build strong internal and external relationships; and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.

Your Day to Day

  • Partner with key stakeholders i.e., Sales, Wellness, Medical Management, Consumer Solutions and Finance (Actuarial), to help inform, define and develop market leading products to serve customers.
  • Provide oversight and direction to advance the emerging solutions strategy
  • Leverage analysis and planning for products including market research, needs assessments, competitive analysis, membership and revenue potential, etc. to create product plans, develop and build new products and identify needed changes to existing products.
  • Monitor the performance and effectiveness of emerging solutions to ensure BCBSMA remains competitive and is achieving strategic objectives.
  • Understand business, regulatory and association rules; Understanding of business impacts and ability to identify solutions to overcome obstacles; solution-oriented
  • Maintains a solid understanding of corporate strategies, directions, offerings, services, market and competition.
  • Apply understanding and insights regarding how to evolve products in support of the BCBSMA consumer engagement strategy and that create exceptional experiences

What You Bring:

  • Experience with product or marketing digital health care technologies or healthcare industry
  • College degree with employment experience in business
  • Understanding of the healthcare market
  • Ability to keep pulse of digital health market trends
  • Ability to think strategically
  • Written and verbal communication/presentation skills
  • Ability to influence others and demonstrate flexibility

Salary Range: $131,130.00 - $160,270.00


The job posting range is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future.  An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs and affordability.

This job is also eligible for variable pay.
