The Senior Manager of Partner Integration is responsible for guiding and implementing all aspects of the lateral partner onboarding and integration lifecycle within the firm. This role ensures that incoming partners experience a seamless transition, are strategically positioned to build a successful practice, and become fully embedded in the firm’s culture, operations, and business development platform. The Senior Manager works closely with the Lateral Partner Recruiting & Integration officer, practice management, practice group heads, business development, and other business services teams to design and execute comprehensive integration plans tailored to each partner.

Responsibilities

Strategic Integration Planning

  • Develop and manage individualized integration plans for each lateral partner, ensuring alignment with firm strategy, practice objectives, and revenue goals.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for partners throughout their integration, from pre-arrival through the first 18 months.
  • Coordinate with leadership to identify success metrics and track ongoing progress to ensure strong performance.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Collaborate with Business Development, Marketing, Finance, IT, HR, Professional Development, Conflicts/New Business, and Practice Management to ensure cohesive onboarding processes.
  • Oversee regular integration check-ins with laterals and stakeholders, addressing needs and removing obstacles to success promptly.
  • Facilitate a strong relationship for laterals with practice management and provide input on introductions laterals should have to key partners and clients.

Relationship Management & Partner Support

  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with lateral partners to understand their practice needs, client base, and long-term goals.
  • Provide ongoing guidance on navigating firm systems, operational processes, and cultural norms.
  • Coach partners on leveraging firm resources to facilitate client transitions, business growth, and internal collaboration.

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee partner onboarding workflows, ensuring timely completion of all pre-arrival and post-arrival requirements.
  • Maintain clear documentation and reporting on integration milestones, risks, and outcomes for senior leadership.
  • Identify process improvements and implement best practices to elevate the firm’s lateral integration program.

Business Development & Practice Growth Support

  • Partner with BD/Marketing/Comms teams to craft and execute communication strategies, client outreach plans, and business development initiatives that support lateral partner success.
  • Support the migration of client relationships, including coordinating conflicts, engagement letters, business intake forms, and client file transfer requests.
  • Analyze LPQs and practice information to identify opportunities for growth and deeper client engagement.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 7–10+ years of experience in law firm administration, professional services integration, talent management, or business development, with experience managing lateral partner integration or similar high-level onboarding programs.
  • Strong understanding of law firm operations, partnership structures, and professional service–based business models.
  • Exceptional project management, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • High degree of discretion, professionalism, and sensitivity when handling confidential information.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to travel as needed.

This position will require physical presence in Proskauer’s offices on a regular basis (at least 3x per week or more, based on business needs). The anticipated compensation for this position is $180,000-$230,000.  The actual salary offered will be based on a number of factors, including but not limited to the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
