Job Description

The Senior Manager, Learning & Development (L&D), will lead the design, implementation and administration of our global learning strategy and solutions. This role plays a crucial part in shaping a culture of learning and the future skills of our talent.  The role works closely with the Talent Management Director and other business leaders to identify talent gaps and implement learning solutions and programs to address the most critical

RESPONSIBLIITIES:

What you will be doing

  • Lead the development and execution of the company’s L&D strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and driving upskilling and reskilling. 
  • Leads the design and delivery of our core leadership programs, key skills content and onboarding to build a high-performing organization.
  • Conducts learning needs and capability analysis to proactively identify gaps and design solutions for changing workforce trends
  • Leverage digital learning technologies, platforms, blended learning approaches, and instructional design methodologies to meet the evolving needs of the modern learner
  • Fosters a culture of continuous improvement and makes data-driven decisions by regularly evaluating the effectiveness of our learning programs. 
  • Effectively coach, mentor and develop the L&D team supporting their growth in instructional design, facilitation and program management. 
  • Build strong relationships with business leaders and HR Business Partners (HRBPs) to assess learning needs, create learning and development solutions, and ensure a unified approach to talent development.
  • Lead vendor selection, negotiation and manage partnerships to deliver high-quality learning solutions and ensure we have the right portfolio of support. 
  • Oversee the L&D budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to maximize program impact.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in Learning & Development, Talent Management, or a related area, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing strategic learning initiatives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and talent development strategies.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Organizational Development, Human Resources).
  • Experience in learning & development in a manufacturing environment.  
  • Certification in instructional design or talent management (e.g., CPLP, SHRM-CP, SPHR).
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $105,000 USD - $165,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
