ABOUT RETOOL

Nearly every company in the world runs on custom software for critical operations like tracking performance metrics, handling support workflows, building admin dashboards, and countless processes you might never have thought of. But most companies don't have the resources to properly invest in these tools, leading to a lot of old, clunky internal software, or worse, teams still stuck in manual and spreadsheet workflows.

AI has changed who gets to build software. The definition of "developer" now includes analysts, operators, and domain experts creating solutions directly—and the tools they reach for are multiplying by the week. That's both an opportunity and a challenge: as more people build with more AI tools, the risk of shipping ungoverned software into production grows just as fast.

At Retool, we're building the platform that makes all of it safe to ship. Build with any AI tool you want, then deploy into one place that connects to your real business data, enforces enterprise policies automatically, and lets teams create once and reuse everywhere with shared, trusted components. The cost of building software has collapsed. The cost of governing it hasn't—and that's the problem we solve.

Developers and domain experts have already automated over 100 million hours of work on our platform, freeing them to focus on creative problem-solving and strategic work that drives real business value. The people closest to the problem can now build the software to solve it, safely, and within enterprise guardrails.

Let's build the future together.

We are seeking a talented and results-driven Events & Field Marketing leader who will own the function in the AMER region and help Retool upscale our event motion. As the Sr. Manager of Events & Field Marketing, you will report to the Sr. Director of Demand Gen, and lead the charge on expanding the field marketing function at Retool while owning the pipeline generated from the events & field marketing program. • Manage a team of event and field marketing managers, providing career development and team building, while putting an execution model in place for repeatable success
  • Be a partner to the the marketing leadership team and translate strategic direction into effective field marketing engagements that support pipeline growth
  • Manage a budget and make investment decisions for the global field marketing function and be on top of ROI from those investments. Report progress at a regular cadence to stakeholders
  • Partner closely with GTM teams to identify the right events to attend or put on to build and accelerate demand generation pipelines with our ICP and key personas.
  • Work hand in hand with the PMM and Content teams on messaging, talk tracks and presentations, as well as work internally to identify speakers and staff for each event
  • Extend the Retool brand presence in tasteful ways for different formats like executive dinners, roadshows, product launch events, and user conferences.
  • Create highly visible experiential projects that rely on multiple vendors and internal stakeholders
  • Work with our GTM and revenue operations teams to track the effectiveness of our events, ROI and lead quality, and use data to inform future decisions

THE SKILLSET YOU'LL BRING:

  • 5+ years of field marketing experience with a B2B or tech startup
  • 4+ years of leading the field marketing function
  • 5+ years experience planning and executing hosted and sponsored events

  • Excellent project management skills, with an uncanny ability to keeping multiple work streams, partners and vendors in sync around timelines
  • The ability to span events built for awareness (reaching new ICP accounts in tasteful ways) and demand (partnering with GTM teams on building and accelerating pipeline).
  • Strong familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce or similar), marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot or similar), and tracking tools to assess campaign effectiveness
  • Strong sense of curiosity and first principles thinking—bring your intuition, but leave behind any playbooks
  • The ability to build strong cross-functional relationships to both GTM and product teams, as well as with our brand design teams and the rest of the marketing org
