This position will be a hybrid work arrangement, which translates to 2-3 days minimum per week in the office.

Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Risk Management, you will play a crucial role with implementing the Firm's risk management framework. We achieve that by providing risk expertise and drive positive change through recommended approaches while strengthening frameworks and risk programs to ensure effective monitoring and management of risks. The Senior Manager, ERM will be responsible for coordinating and managing the day-to-day operations of core ERM programs and frameworks.

The ideal candidate is someone who is:

  • Experienced with implementing ERM and operational risk management frameworks
  • Proactive with identifying issues and offering innovative solutions
  • Able to work in an agile environment and easily adapts to changing priorities
  • Strong collaborator and able to develop and maintain working relationships with team members, staff and senior leadership
  • Able to update and review the control inventory and identify dependencies
  • Respond to emerging risks and drive risk awareness

What you will do:

  • Further enhance the implementation and execution of enterprise risk management program
  • Build and add detail to Risk Control Matrices and Risk Assessments
  • Establish positive relationships with risk owners, ensure appropriate data-driven analysis supports decisions
  • Develop KRIs which will be used to monitor risk tolerance and report to management
  • Manage the incident and escalation program for operational areas, including root cause analysis and trends
  • Document and / or improve procedures
  • And other responsibilities as required

What you bring:

  • Risk management knowledge and experience, including risk assessment and control evaluation
  • Critical thinking by approaching work with an open mind and sens of creativity, and challenging current practices and recommending improvements to mitigate risks and drive positive change
  • Assess information from multiple angles and break down complex information into concepts / themes to drive insights and action
  • Work comfortably in a fast-paced and dynamic environment handling multiple projects simultaneously with minimal day-to-day supervision with the ability to prioritize and shift focus quickly based on risk/business need
  • Communicate clearly, concisely and impactful to influence others
  • Decisive and take action to seek solutions

Education Preferred:

  • Bachelor of Arts (B.A)

Experience

  • 10+ Years experience in enterprise or operational risk management preferred
