The Role? 

OUAI is looking for a Senior Manager of Digital Design to lead the creative expression of our brand across digital channels. Reporting to the Creative Director and managing a team of three designers, this role will oversee digital design across e-commerce, email, paid media and other digital touchpoints.

The ideal candidate is both a strong creative leader and a highly accountable operator, someone who can translate campaign concepts into innovative digital experiences, establish scalable systems and guide multiple projects from brief through final delivery. They bring a sharp design point of view, understand how creative drives performance and know how to build productive partnerships across Creative, Digital, Growth and Marketing.


RequirementsWhat You’ll DoLead Digital Creative
  • Own the digital expression of the OUAI brand across e-commerce, email, paid media, and other digital touchpoints.
  • Translate campaign concepts and brand strategy into elevated, channel-specific creative that is unmistakably OUAI.
  • Maintain a high bar for design, typography, art direction, motion and overall craft.
  • Ensure digital work feels cohesive across the customer journey while being optimized for the needs of each platform.
  • Identify opportunities to evolve OUAI’s digital design systems and introduce new formats, tools and creative approaches.
Manage and Develop the Team
  • Lead, mentor and develop a team of three digital designers.
  • Set clear priorities, delegate work thoughtfully and ensure the team has the context and direction needed to succeed.
  • Provide actionable creative feedback that strengthens both the work and the capabilities of the team.
  • Foster a collaborative, solutions-oriented culture with high standards and clear accountability.
  • Support professional development through regular feedback, coaching and growth planning.
Own Projects from Brief to Delivery
  • Oversee multiple concurrent projects, balancing seasonal campaigns, product launches and always-on business needs.
  • Partner with Creative Operations to establish timelines, allocate resources and ensure work is delivered accurately and on schedule.
  • Proactively communicate project status, risks and dependencies, escalating issues early and bringing forward solutions.
  • Lead complex, high-visibility digital initiatives with minimal oversight.
  • Review final deliverables for creative quality, technical accuracy and channel readiness.
Partner Across the Business
  • Build strong relationships with E-commerce, Growth Marketing, CRM, and Creative Operations.
  • Collaborate with channel partners to understand objectives, audience behavior and performance insights.
  • Balance brand-building and commercial goals to create work that is both distinctive and effective.
  • Present creative work and rationale clearly to cross-functional partners and senior leadership.
  • Use performance learnings to inform future creative without losing sight of the brand’s long-term vision.
What You’ll Bring
  • 6+ years of experience in digital design, with experience in beauty, fashion, lifestyle or another highly visual consumer brand preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience managing and developing designers.
  • A portfolio demonstrating exceptional digital design across e-commerce, CRM, paid media and social.
  • Strong understanding of responsive design, UX principles, digital production and platform-specific best practices.
  • Experience developing scalable digital systems that improve consistency and speed.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, navigate fast-moving timelines and deliver complex projects.
  • Strong presentation, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented approach with a high level of ownership and follow-through.
  • Expertise in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite; experience with motion design and emerging creative technologies is a plus.
  • A genuine interest in beauty, culture and the evolving digital landscape.
