Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

  • Develops annual internal and external strategic communication plans based input from senior leaders about their departmental goals and in alignment with the overarching corporate communications strategy
  • Measures the effectiveness of communication plans and implements improvements to enhance the company’s reputation as a preferred partner and great place to work
  • Oversees internal and external enterprise communication calendars, prioritizing company needs to effectively deliver quality communications while managing competing stakeholder expectations
  • Maintains strategic focus on prioritization planning and influencing senior leaders and other partners to optimize Communications team capacity to focus on Integer’s strategic priorities (including the ability to say ‘no’ or schedule support for when resources will become available)
  • Ensures a growing toolkit of do-it-yourself templates, examples and resources are available for internal customers handle routine communication needs
  • Oversees management of the company’s internal communication channels, including the intranet homepage (iConnect), associate newsletter (iConnect News), digital signage, and mass emails 
  • Oversees company social media channels, including introducing new channels, maximizing platform features, developing content, social listening, and responding to inappropriate content
  • Manages media relationships, provides first response to media inquiries, coaches leaders on how to respond to media when needed, and recommends actions to mitigate risks during crisis situations; also supports Investor Relations with non-earnings related content
  • Manages team to drive the creation, development and implementation of multi-channel communication campaigns for internal and external audiences
  • Partners with PC Marketing, the Brand team and other key stakeholders on trade show promotions and content for industry publications, social media and integer.net
  • Partners with Human Resources to recommend, develop and implement communications plans that inform, engage and enhance Integer’s culture
  • Partners with Diversity & Inclusion leader to develop and implement communications plans that bolster inclusivity and educate on the importance creating an inclusive culture
  • Partners with leaders across the organization on communications to support organizational change and priority initiatives, including M&A integrations.
  • Initiates programs that promote awareness of company strategy, goals and achievements
  • Provides communications counsel, guidance and support to senior leadership as needed
  • Educates stakeholders on proper use of communication tools, including brand messaging, communication planning templates and style guidelines
  • Manages, guides and develops direct report(s)
  • Manages and oversees work of external vendors as relevant
  • Performs other duties as required by Sr. Director, Corporate Communications & Brand.
  • Adheres to Integer’s Values and all safety, environmental, security and quality requirements including, but not limited to: Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety, Environmental and Security Management Systems, U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, company policies and operating procedures, and other regulatory requirements.

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, public relations or related discipline required
  • Minimum Experience: 10+ years

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Ability to develop, implement and measure corporate-level strategic internal and external communications plans
  • Aptitude for identifying and implementing process improvements (including planning, tracking and measurement tools) to improve impact and effectiveness of communications team
  • Experience launching and managing communications channels, including intranet, internal social media channels, newsletters, mass mail distribution, social media, websites, videos and presentations
  • Mastery of communications best practices to support business, champion function, and strengthen the company’s reputation
  • Experience managing all aspects of corporate communications, including public relations, executive communications and internal communications; investor relations, change management and marketing experience a strong plus
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage, coach and influence peers and direct reports
  • Aptitude for gaining trust of executive and senior leadership
  • Ability to effectively analyze audience needs to identify effective communication plans that influence behavior
  • Ability to lead teams to prioritize communication projects and customer requests to meet commitments
  • Ability to say ‘no’ or delay/schedule support for requests to occur when other projects take priority
  • Able to coach others on AP Style
  • Mastery of MS suite
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills; effective storyteller with the ability to translate complex ideas into concise, understandable messages that motivate and inspire action

Salary Range: $118,500 - $173,800

Our total rewards program is designed to attract, retain, and motivate associates to contribute to Integer’s success. Our compensation program includes base salary and a cash-based incentive program supporting our pay-for-performance philosophy. We provide a comprehensive benefits package with immediate eligibility including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, and adoption benefits. Parental leave is available after one year. Optional employee-paid programs include supplemental life insurance, critical illness, hospital indemnity and accident insurance. Employees are immediately eligible to participate in the 401(k) plan with company matching contributions. We provide 80 hours (10 days) of company designated holidays per year plus an annual allotment of paid time off.
