The Difference You Will Make:

Reporting to the Communications Lead, we are seeking a US-based Senior Communications Manager to support Airbnb’s Corporate Communications team. You’ll join a group dedicated to promoting and protecting the business, working on high-visibility campaigns that shape Airbnb’s reputation.

The ideal candidate is comfortable developing and executing communications strategies with broad reach, has experience pitching and building relationships with media, and can craft compelling materials such as press releases, blog posts, pitches, and briefing documents. We’re looking for a savvy, articulate communicator whose skills, judgment, and work ethic align seamlessly with our team.

A Typical Day: 

  • Drive the development and execution of our 2025/2026 Corporate Communications plan to help make Airbnb one of the most positively talked about brands in the country.
  • Manage corporate initiatives that enhance and protect Airbnb’s reputation in the US and around the world, including announcements and campaigns centered on Airbnb’s social value proposition, such as Airbnb.org, economic empowerment for hosts, international expansion, etc. 
  • Develop executive communications for senior leaders, including planning, pitching, messaging, and prep.
  • Craft plans for and write blog posts, press pitches, briefing documents, and other press materials.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with reporters and proactively pitch stories.
  • Oversee our press alias, issues management and rapid response efforts and coordinating appropriate reactive efforts. 
  • Oversee the tracking of the impact of communications campaigns and reporting results back to the team.
  • Drive partnership and collaboration with our external communications agency to keep projects on track, make sure priorities are clear, and deliver strong results.

Your Expertise:

  • 8+ years of experience in communications, public relations, or a related field.
  • Exceptional writing skills and strong verbal communication abilities.
  • Extensive experience staffing and briefing senior executives for media interviews and public speaking engagements. 
  • Strong ability to collaborate effectively within a team and contribute to shared goals.
  • Sharp editorial judgment and an eye for compelling stories that resonate with media and audiences.
  • Calm, solutions-oriented, and effective under pressure; adaptable in fast-changing environments.
  • Strategic and creative thinker with a proactive, positive approach to work.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A passion for Airbnb and the mission of the company and experienced working on projects in a fast-paced environment.

Your Location:

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. How We'll Take Care of You:

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
