We are hiring a Senior Manager, Communications / StoryWorks Operations to lead planning, coordination, and execution across the team. The Senior Manager, Communications / StoryWorks Operations is responsible for ensuring work is clearly prioritized, well-coordinated, and delivered on time across multiple workstreams.
You will maintain a clear view of what is in progress across StoryWorks and work closely with team leads to ensure priorities are aligned and execution stays on track. As the Senior Manager, Communications / StoryWorks Operations, you will identify conflicts, gaps, and dependencies early, and help resolve them so teams can move quickly and stay focused.
This role requires strong program management skills and sound judgment. You will work across teams to keep work moving, bring structure to complex initiatives, and ensure that plans translate into execution.
At key company moments, the Senior Manager, Communications / StoryWorks Operations will lead the operational coordination behind major initiatives, announcements, and events, ensuring teams are aligned and execution is seamless.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead planning and coordination across StoryWorks, ensuring alignment across multiple workstreams
  • Maintain a clear, up-to-date view of all work in progress, including priorities, timelines, and ownership
  • Drive prioritization across competing initiatives in partnership with team leads
  • Identify and manage dependencies, risks, and conflicts, resolving or escalating as needed
  • Ensure work is sequenced effectively so teams can execute without delays or duplication
  • Partner with team leads and senior stakeholders to turn priorities into clear, actionable plans
  • Track progress against key initiatives and ensure follow-through on commitments
  • Lead operational coordination during key company moments, including major announcements, initiatives, and events
  • Manage budgets, vendor relationships, and external partners supporting StoryWorks
  • Coordinate workflows across a high volume of content, including written, visual, and multimedia formats
  • Introduce tools and ways of working that improve coordination, visibility, and efficiency, including practical use of AI where appropriate
  • Create clear, simple ways for teams to stay informed on priorities and progress
  • Continuously improve how work is coordinated and executed across the team

Skills Required:
Experience
  • 8-12+ years in program management, operations, consulting, or similar roles
  • Experience building and managing workflows or operating processes within communications, marketing, or creative organizations
  • Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional workstreams with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience working with senior leaders and driving alignment across teams
  • Experience working within communications, marketing, or creative teams, with exposure to high-volume, multi-format content production (editorial, video, social, or similar)

  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills across multiple concurrent initiatives
  • Ability to identify dependencies, risks, and gaps early and take action
  • Clear and direct communicator who can align teams and drive decisions
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Familiarity with modern project management and workflow tools (e.g., Airtable, Wrike, Asana, Monday.com), with the ability to use them to improve visibility and coordination

Location:
This role is based in Needham, MA with a hybrid working model.
Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary range for this position is displayed below. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

Pay Range
$127,500-$195,500 USD
