Job Description

Are you passionate about using your analytical skills to derive insights and drive business strategy and success? Are you intrigued by being able to formulate the full picture by tying together seemingly disparate data points from multiple sources (e.g., customer attributes and behaviors, transactional history, call transcripts, digital activity, business financials) into one cohesive story? Are you ready to drive experimentation & strategic insights to optimize every aspect of the customer’s experience?  Are you interested in applying your knowledge of data analysis, statistics, and data visualization to define measurement approaches?

If yes, we want you to join our forward-thinking team and make a real-world difference for Fidelity’s 40 million individual investors.

The Team

We are seeking a creative and collaborative analytics professional with expertise in data-driven and hypothesis-based insights. As a member of the Customer Knowledge & Strategic Insights (CKSI) team, you will play a pivotal role in a dynamic group. This individual will work closely with the development of our Measurement Platform to allow us to standardize measurement of experiments, campaigns, and other initiatives across the Wealth business.  You will partner closely with stakeholders across the business, working with agile, interdisciplinary teams that possess diverse skills in analytics, engineering, data science, marketing, product development, and more. Your insights will drive initiatives that optimize and personalize the Fidelity experience.

The Skills You Bring

  • Ability to translate a business need or question into a hypothesis that can be validated via experimentation or data analysis.
  • Ability to use data to tell a story of customer experience, highlighting both successes and friction points to inform future initiatives and strategies.
  • Ability to manipulate and synthesize data from large and sometimes unwieldy data into a cohesive story that delivers insights to a broad audience in a simple, clear, and actionable way.
  • A cross-functional collaborator who can work across a team with diverse skills and abilities and find success for Fidelity and our customers.
  • A thinker who can connect abstract statistical concepts to real world business decision making.
  • Demonstrating a mix of analytical skills, you always focus on business use cases and customer needs.
  • Natural intellectual curiosity, initiative, and love for learning new skills and capabilities.

The Expertise We’re Looking For

  • 6 + years of experience generating analytical insights to drive business actions, including experience with a range of analytical tools and programming languages
  • Strong querying skills in SQL from multiple complex databases – this requires an understanding of complex joins and data integration.
  • Experience with data analysis and statistics using Python or R.
  • Experience with experimentation – both design and analysis.
  • Experience in data visualization using Tableau, Power BI, Qlik etc.
  • Experience using and querying big data technologies such as Snowflake, Athena, etc.
  • Experience applying statistical or econometric methods in a business context.
  • Some experience working with stakeholders that includes defining and understanding requirements, crafting strategy documents, process diagrams, and so forth.
  • Experience with digital analytics using tools such as Adobe analytics is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a quantitative / technical field such as Data or Business Analytics, Economics, Statistics, or quantitative social science. MBA or MS or PhD degree a plus

The Value You Deliver

  • Continuously improving data analytics and insights capabilities and spreading that knowledge and expertise throughout the organization
  • Delivering data-driven and actionable insights to enable objective, informed business, and product decisions

  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
