As a Senior Machine Learning Consultant, you will architect and build machine learning solutions on Microsoft Fabric, translating business goals into technical solutions and developing predictive models. You will collaborate with data engineers and deliver actionable insights for sales teams.
Who We Are
At Trility Consulting®, we’ve built a strong, remote-work culture where people thrive, grow, and support each other – earning us Great Place to Work® Certification. Headquartered in Central Iowa, we embrace flexible schedules and collaboration across geographically distributed teams serving clients from all corners of the United States and globally.
We seek team members with the grit necessary to forge paths where none previously existed, to get back up when circumstances knock them down, to adapt to the changing needs of the client even when it is uncomfortable, and to deliver on our commitments. Candidates must respect and value people, recognize that over-communication is barely good enough, thrive on solving complex problems, have a passion for building teams, and know that delivering what a client actually values is more important than their own predispositions. They understand value proposition, love delivering value, and take pride in learning the expansive and ever-changing business of clients. Candidates are self-motivated and relentlessly working to become more today than they were yesterday.
What You Will Do
As a Senior Machine Learning Consultant in our Data & AI practice, you will take a leading role on a high-visibility project at Trility Consulting. This isn't just about data; it's about directly impacting our client's bottom line.
Your mission will be to architect and build a machine learning solution from the ground up on the Microsoft Fabric platform. You will analyze millions of customer leads to build a sophisticated propensity model that identifies high-intent buyers. Going beyond a simple score, you will generate the data-driven “reasons why” and actionable talking points to empower the client's sales team, transforming data into a strategic sales asset.
You will be a key player on a focused, agile team, working alongside a dedicated Data Engineer to deliver tangible, production-ready value every two weeks.
This is a remote position with 1099 and W2 options.
Note: This is a proactive opening for future hiring needs. While this position is not currently active, we are accepting applications and reviewing talent in preparation for upcoming project opportunities. Qualified candidates will be contacted when interviews begin.
- Collaborate for Success: Partner closely with our Data Engineer to define the “data contract” – the ideal, analysis-ready datasets you need to excel. You will focus on machine learning modeling and MLOps, while they focus on data ingestion and preparation.
- Translate Business Goals to Code: Translate the client's objective of “increasing sales” into a precise machine learning framework, from feature engineering to model selection and validation.
- Build & Train Models: Develop, train, and fine-tune predictive models using Python and relevant libraries (e.g., Scikit-learn, Spark MLlib) within notebooks.
- Deliver Actionable Insights: Engineer the solution to produce not just a propensity score, but also human-readable “reason codes” and “communication guidance” to arm the sales team with strategic insights.
- Automate the ML Lifecycle (MLOps): Design and build robust, automated pipelines for model retraining, deployment, monitoring, and batch scoring within the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem.
- Communicate Value: Clearly and effectively communicate your findings, progress, and the model's business impact to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including the client's sales leadership.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience building and deploying machine learning models in a professional setting.
- Proficiency in Python and common data science/ML libraries (e.g., Pandas, Scikit-learn, MLflow).
- Hands-on experience with MLOps principles and tools (e.g., CI/CD for models, automated training, model monitoring).
- Experience working with a major cloud data platform (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to translate ambiguous business requirements into concrete technical solutions.
- Strong communication skills with a knack for making complex topics understandable to all audiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Direct, hands-on experience building solutions in Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Notebooks, Data Pipelines, Power BI).
- Experience with model interpretability libraries (e.g., SHAP, LIME).
- Previous experience in sales, marketing analytics, or lead scoring projects.
- Experience working in a consulting environment and operating within an agile/sprint-based methodology.
