Senior/Lead DevOps Engineer

Role:
The candidate will have to provide thought leadership in DevOps culture, principles & practical applications, but also to help the external clients worldwide for the rollout in production. We’re looking at candidates that have the capability to drive technical discussions, close complex technical topics and be able to engage and deliver the work in an Agile practice. The individual should have a holistic awareness and understanding of new technologies being used in finance and other industries and love to experiment to solve business problems.
Key responsibilities:
- Overseeing the creation and management of an event streaming platform on premises.
- Maintain the CI and CD pipelines for the project
- Support the rollout in production
- Support the Development team with the DevOps activities
Skills / Experience / Qualification:
Types of experience & skills that we are looking for:
- Experience: 5+ Years of experience in DevOps.
- Language: Preferably Thai candidates but can consider Thai or English
Must Have Skills:
- Implemented GitOps using FluxCD.
- Solid experience with Kubernetes and/or OpenShift as an orchestration platform.
- DevOps: Solid experience as a DevOps Engineer in a 24x7 uptime cloud native environment, including automation experience with configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible, Chef, Puppet…).
- Driven the implementation of DevOps solutions within a project or organisation, ensuring compliance with organisation standards and best practices.
- Expert in the Software Development Lifecycle with both a Dev and Ops mindset
- Deep understanding of containerisation and aware of container orchestration concepts, including hands on Docker experience.
- Kafka and Cassandra knowledge.
- Hands on experience of using scripting with Python, Groovy to build CI/CD pipelines on Jenkins, CircleCI, GoCD, Azure DevOps.
- Great appreciation of DevOps and Infrastructure as a Code concept and techniques, including Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Understanding of application and system monitoring tools with experience of auto-healing, autoscaling and predictive monitoring tools (e.g. Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana, NewRelic, DataDog…).
- Problem Solving: Ability to analyse and resolve complex infrastructure resource and application deployment issues.
- Agile Methodologies: Experience with Agile software development, project management methodologies.
- Version Control: Experience administrating version control systems such as Git.
- Operating Systems: Windows and Linux system administration.
