Senior Insurance Solutions Architect - Guidewire / Verisk Specialist.

About Us

Capco is a global technology and business consultancy, focused on the financial services sector. We are passionate about helping our clients succeed in an ever-changing industry.

At Capco, we work at the heart of insurance transformation, partnering with major insurers to modernise technology, unlock digital capability, and deliver better outcomes for customers. Our Insurance Architecture team is growing, and we’re looking for a client-facing Enterprise and Solutions Architect with deep expertise in e.g. Guidewire or Verisk platforms and a strong background in consulting.

What are we looking for?

Capco are looking for Insurance Solution Architects to help our clients in the insurance domain to leverage technology to maintain and improve their market leadership. We help clients do so by designing exceptional customer experiences, transforming business processes to adapt to changing needs, and integrating the overall technology landscape into emerging capabilities to get the best results for the organization.

Our solution architects are pivotal members, helping to turn great ideas into actionable solutions using a range of business and technology capabilities. As an Insurance Solutions Architect, you’ll play a dual role: a technical leader and trusted advisor. You’ll work closely with clients to understand their business challenges, shape strategic technology roadmaps, and lead the architecture of large-scale Guidewire or Verisk implementations. You’ll be involved from early advisory through to design, delivery, and beyond.

This is a role for you if you are looking for an outcome-oriented role, as part of a creative and dynamic team helping insurance clients convert business needs to solutions using your experience of the domain and expertise in technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a strategic technology advisor to clients, guiding them on architecture decisions, platform roadmaps, and transformation journeys.
  • Lead the design and delivery of Guidewire or Verisk-based solutions, covering policy admin, claims, billing, and/or analytics functions.
  • Shape solution architecture in response to client requirements, ensuring alignment with business goals, IT strategy, and regulatory demands.
  • Facilitate client workshops, architecture assessments, and technology strategy engagements.
  • Collaborate with product owners, engineering leads, and vendor teams to drive robust delivery.
  • Support pre-sales and business development by contributing to proposals, architecture visions, and technical strategy materials.
  • Serve as the go-to technical lead during complex programmes, resolving issues and driving delivery success.
What You Will Bring
  • Customer centricity – the ability to empathise with customers and an affinity to create solutions designed to deliver a great customer experience.
  • Knowledge of a range of architectural skills which could include modern solution design, Target operating models, Solution Estimation and Planning or Architecture Governance (ideally in an Agile context)
  • Existing knowledge and exposure to one or more of Commercial Lines, London Markets, Reinsurance, Underwriting and other related insurance domain areas.
  • Extensive experience architecting and delivering insurance solutions using Guidewire (PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter) or Verisk (ISO, Sequel Suite, Risk Analyzer).
  • Strong consulting background, with experience working directly with clients in fast-paced, outcome-focused engagements.
  • Deep understanding of insurance processes and how to align technology to business priorities.
  • Proven ability to lead architecture design from ideation to implementation.
  • Understanding of integration patterns, APIs, data architecture, and vendor ecosystems.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with experience of engaging with senior stakeholders across teams for arriving at approved solutions.
  • Keen interest in emerging market trends within insurance to identify future technology needs, options and capabilities.
  • Experience in leading workshops, presenting to stakeholders, and influencing senior business and IT leaders.
  • Experience of promoting designs through Technology Authority forums and exposure to the wider Architecture governance processes.
Nice to Have
  • Exposure to cloud-native architecture (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Experience in Agile or hybrid delivery environments.
  • TOGAF or similar architecture certification.
  • Knowledge of insurance ecosystem technologies (CRM, microservices architecture data enrichment, analytics platforms).

WHY JOIN CAPCO?

Because you are curious, because you want to know what is going on inside engaging projects with some of the largest banks in the world and because you want to work on projects that transform the financial services industry.

We offer:
