Job Summary
The Sr Manager of Commercial Intelligence is responsible helping build the combined functional team delivering Market driven and SharkNinja performance driven insights to the organization. The role sits withing the Market Insights and Analytics COE within the Strategic Sales & Analytics function, leveraging data to inform strategies impacting decisions from marketing, pricing and promotions, product development and GTM/Global expansion strategies.
A newly formed Commercial Intelligence function leverages external and internal performance indicators to accelerate reporting of SharkNinja performance across geographies and categories. This vertical integration of market and internal POS data facilitates the ability to connect all the dots to form a complete view of the external environment in which we compete to drive internal actions that optimize and capitalize on growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
Global Market Intelligence
- Develop and integrate a holistic view of category performance, market structure, pricing, and competitive activity into existing business processes across all markets globally.
- Partner with Market Intelligence and Insights leader to merge market share projection and forecasting models to develop a cohesive POV on opportunities and risks to the business.
- Leverage market sizing analyses, and scenario planning frameworks to support strategic and operational planning within existing/mature and new/emerging markets.
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for business growth, commercial strategy, and innovation prioritization.
- Standardize insight frameworks across markets while enabling regional flexibility.
Global Category Insights
- Generate insights to shape innovation pipelines, product roadmaps, brand strategy, and communication development.
- Collaborate with other team members (Commercial Analytics, Category SS&A, Data Foundation, and Visualization) and key stakeholders (Finance, Commercial Planning) to integrate insights across all analytics disciplines.
- Ensure sales, brand, and executive teams have access to actionable insights that support key business objectives.
- Foster a bias for action and champion SharkNinja's Obsessed with Winning approach, ensuring cutting-edge insights drive measurable outcomes as a competitive advantage.
Global Leadership & Partnership:
- Act as the primary strategic insights partner to Marketing, PD, Category SS&A, and Regional Commercial teams, ensuring insights are effectively translated into actions with measurable outcomes.
- Coach, mentor and indirectly lead the Commercial Analysts to develop best in class skills and consistent implementation of COE frameworks.
- Ensure consistency in insights frameworks, performance measurement, and reporting across global markets.
- Leverage insights from core markets to partner with EMEA and LATAM leadership to uncover region-specific growth opportunities and risks.
- Communicate insights effectively through compelling storytelling, dashboards, and executive-ready reports.
Measurement & Optimization:
- Develop processes to identify early signals of success or underperformance (spot the smoke), allowing for quick reactions and strategic pivots.
- Leverage automation, AI, and advanced analytics to enhance the scalability and accuracy of insights.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and best practices, ensuring SharkNinja remains at the forefront of data-driven decision-making.
Insights & Visual Storytelling:
- Partner with the Market Intelligence and Insights leader to development of executive dashboards, business performance reports, and strategic presentations that deliver impactful insights.
- Ensure insights are customized to key stakeholders including executives, sales teams, and brand leaders-to drive effective decision-making.
- Utilize leading data visualization tools to present complex analytics in a clear, compelling, and actionable format.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Extensive experience in executive reporting, strategic insights development, and business intelligence.
- Proven ability to manage direct reports, providing clear direction, coaching, and mentorship.
- Strong storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to distill complex data into clear, compelling narratives for senior leadership.
- Strong stakeholder management expertise, with experience tailoring insights to different business functions.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Analytics, Data Science, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a corporate environment delivering executive-level insights and reporting.
- Background in planning, merchandising/buying, finance, consumer insights, retail analytics, and/or competitive intelligence.
- Knowledge of insights analytics, forecasting and planning, and developing solutions to complex business problems is a plus.
- Experience working in a global organization with team leadership responsibilities and ability to influence through cross-regional collaboration.
