What we’re looking for:

Nexamp is looking to hire a Senior Financing Operations Specialist to join our Finance Operations team in Boston, MA. This role plays a critical part in driving timely fundings and ongoing compliance across Nexamp’s construction debt, permanent debt, and tax equity portfolios. You will translate financing requirements into organized, repeatable workflows and lead borrowing readiness, documentation, compliance deliverables, and portfolio reporting. You will work across Finance, Legal, Accounting, Treasury, Commercial and Development teams, external counsel, lenders, and investors to keep financing deliverables accurate, timely, and audit-ready. This is a hands-on role for someone who brings strong financing operations or documentation experience, exceptional attention to detail, and the judgment to identify and resolve issues independently.

You will report to the Manager, Finance Operations and serve as a subject-matter resource for financing documentation, conditions-precedent tracking, and compliance requirements.  This role supports hybrid work out of our Boston office.

What you’ll do:

  • Own conditions precedent, negative covenants, and borrowing-readiness tracking across assigned facilities and portfolios. Ensure requirements have clear owners, monitor progress through funding, and independently escalate complex issues.
  • Lead verification of borrowing representations and coordinate supporting documentation across Legal, Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Commercial and Development teams, Business Development, Portfolio Operations Management, and Nexamp Project Operations to drive accurate and timely fundings, including for more complex or higher-risk facilities.
  • Own and continuously improve deal and portfolio trackers, data rooms, and document repositories so funding materials remain accurate, current, organized, and audit-ready for lenders, investors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Lead financing-related certifications, insurance deliverables, and compliance support items, including beneficial ownership certifications, foreign entity of concern documentation, labor-related documentation, insurance evidence, and applicable investment tax credit or Inflation Reduction Act adder support. Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned portfolios.
  • Manage notices, estoppels, waivers, collateral assignment documents, and custodial reporting packages in partnership with Legal, external counsel, and internal stakeholders. Resolve documentation exceptions and follow issues through to closure.
  • Lead tranche and contract documentation review, recurring offtaker deliverables, and lender-facing reporting requirements across applicable portfolios.
  • Partner cross-functionally to surface risks early, drive issue resolution, improve tools and processes, and communicate clear status updates on key financing deliverables to senior stakeholders.
  • Serve as a subject-matter resource for financing documentation, conditions-precedent tracking, borrowing representations, and portfolio compliance requirements. Support and share knowledge with other Finance Operations team members.

What you’ll bring:

  • 4+ years of experience in project finance operations, loan or closing operations, portfolio operations, corporate or real estate paralegal work, structured finance support, or a similar role.
  • Direct experience tracking funding conditions precedent, managing borrowing checklists, or coordinating recurring compliance and reporting obligations in a financing-related environment.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Operations, Legal Studies, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in financing operations or documentation-heavy roles.
  • Strong organizational and project-management skills, with the ability to independently manage deadlines across multiple facilities and portfolios with little to no supervision.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and documentation discipline. You are comfortable tracking numerous conditions precedent, borrowing representations, document deliverables, certifications, and reporting requirements simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead coordination across Finance, Legal, external counsel, lenders, and investors; gather inputs, close action items, resolve escalations, and respond to complex lender diligence questions with minimal guidance.
  • Proficiency with standard productivity and data tools such as Excel, SharePoint, ShareFile, and document-management systems. Experience with Salesforce, Sigma, or business-intelligence tools is a plus.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to summarize requirements, status, risks, and dependencies for internal and senior stakeholders.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with changing priorities and new financing structures.
  • Ability to clearly communicate requirements, statuses, and risks across technical and non‑technical stakeholders with strong customer focus, treating internal teams and external counterparties as key customers, ensuring clarity, reliability and follow‑through.
  • A problem solving mindset; identifying gaps in documentation or process and helps drive pragmatic resolutions.
  • Commitment to Nexamp's mission and have a passion for solving tomorrow's climate crisis today.

If you don’t meet 100% of the above qualifications, but see yourself contributing, please apply.
