Our Commercial Finance function is responsible for providing oversight and support for our fast-paced, innovative and global sales teams. By leading activities such as strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, pricing and close exercises, while leveraging analytics, forecasting and reporting skills, you will help shape the commercial success of our business areas for senior leaders and the sales teams. You will develop a robust skill set as part of this fast-paced function by interacting with a broad number of internal business partners and building organizational capabilities to drive profitability and customer satisfaction. The work of this team is dynamic with high visibility and impact to our diverse customers, providing an exciting opportunity to gain valuable regional and global experiences and professional growth.

This dynamic Senior Finance Manager will lead key commercial finance activities for the BioProduction Group, providing support to senior leaders and the key account organization in data analytics, financial reporting and forecasting processes to help shape the commercial success of BPG. Reporting to the Director of Commercial Finance, BioProduction Group, this is a highly visible role within the company, offering tremendous opportunity for learning and long-term career growth. DESCRIPTIONHow you will make an impact

You will provide strategic financial support and insights to drive commercial success across BioProduction Group's key account portfolio and commercial organization.

What you will do
  • Provide commercial business support for our Key Accounts that cross multiple divisions and drive approximately 60% of our revenue, including rebates, contract discussions, revenue and bookings analysis
  • Lead monthly and quarterly business reviews to support regional senior directors and key account leaders in identifying actions to improve the business
  • Transform, scale and expand our Group Commercial function across multiple divisions and business units by effectively influencing and breaking down barriers
  • Provide commercial business support to our Bioproduction businesses by analyzing important data points, including Bookings and Backlog, revenue trends by product, segment and region, pipeline conversion rates, and customer analytics
  • Partner with the Sales VP of Bioproduction to support monthly commercial business reviews and demand generation with the sales teams
  • Support the forecasting and planning process in collaboration with Commercial leadership, Key Account Management, Marketing and sales structures
  • Provide financial insights and analytics to support key account strategies and customer profitability analysis
  • Work closely with Global Finance and Commercial teams in AMER, EMEA, APJ and China
  • Assist in the AOP and play a key role in the preparation of the long-term strategy plan (STRAP)
  • Lead key initiatives providing data vital to deep analysis of the organization
  • Support operative and strategic decisions and recommend corrective actions
  • Review appropriate commercial finance support mechanisms and implement change as needed
  • Identify and solve gaps in processes throughout the organization
  • Play a key role in initiatives that continuously raise expectations and strengthen the finance organization
  • Champion ad-hoc projects and initiatives, such as Go To Market strategies and integration processes
REQUIREMENTSHow you will get here

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics
  • MBA, CMA, or CPA preferred

Experience

  • 6+ years of proven experience in FP&A or commercial finance within a large, multinational company
  • Successfully led multiple cross-functional finance projects

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Significant experience in a commercial FP&A role with strong financial acumen and expertise in forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis
  • Experience with large sets of data, with responsibility for the quality and integrity of results
  • Outstanding Excel and data analytics skills
  • Experience with Hyperion Planning, SmartView, Tableau, Power BI, Oracle, HFM/CMR, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), or similar systems
  • Understanding of finance, accounting, and impacts to reporting systems
  • Independent individual with a proactive approach to consistently improving operations
  • Organized multitasker who can prioritize workload in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Strong collaboration skills working with diverse groups of people, including geographically dispersed teams
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate analysis and recommendations in a concise, insightful manner
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with senior management
  • Demonstrated experience in a complex, multinational, heavily matrixed organization
  • Self-motivated with a high level of flexibility and strong work ethic, with a focus on delivering results
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify process and control gaps and champion improvement initiatives through Practical Process Improvement (PPI)
  • Embraces challenges in a continuously evolving environment

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $130,000.00–$194,950.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
