  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including mechanical, firmware, industrial design, sourcing, and product management.
  • Execute the product development process from early-stage concept, through prototyping, testing, and production, to ensure products meet requirements, cost, and schedule targets.
  • Lead prototype development and testing, including designing test strategies to validate product performance and resolve issues.
  • Lead design reviews and discussions with suppliers and global manufacturing partners to optimize designs for mass production.
  • Lead the communication and design execution with global manufacturing partners.
  • Contribute to the Technical Requirements Document in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Contribute to product architecture and system-level design, with deep ownership of your assigned subsystems and ensuring alignment with product requirements.
  • Translate high-level product and system requirements into detailed, actionable tasks and deliverables within your domain.
  • Participate in risk identification activities and escalate issues appropriately to program leadership.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, sensors, and manufacturing processes to inform product design and innovation.
  • Drive your areas of ownership forward with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Provide technical input to product roadmap discussions.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience, with at least 2 years working on consumer products.
  • Experience optimizing designs for battery operation with very low power usage.
  • Proven experience contributing to the design and development of complex systems from concept to mass production, with ownership of subsystems or components.
  • Experience working with product management to understand the data-driven "why" and to be the voice of the customer.
  • Strong communication, EQ, and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated experience owning design validation plans, including defining test coverage across electrical, RF, connectivity, audio, and imaging subsystems in coordination with domain specialists and quality.
  • Ability to contribute at both the systems engineering level and as a hands-on technical contributor.
  • Experience in embedded systems design including UART, SPI, I2C, USB, Ethernet, SDIO, MIPI, etc.
  • Experience with RF technologies including Sub-GHz, WiFi, and BLE.
  • Strong preference for candidates with a demonstrated bias for action.
