As the Sr Director of Product Marketing, you will be responsible for product messaging, positioning, buyer and user personas, sales and partner enablement, product launches, competitive and market intelligence, and cross-functional collaboration with the Product and GTM teams. You will be the “voice of the customer” in the way we present our products and solutions to the world.
Our ideal candidate will be creative, analytical, and extremely well organized, with a high-level of attention to detail. You must have demonstrated experience creating interesting narratives out of complex topics, have excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to influence and drive initiatives across cross-functional teams.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Be the voice of the customer. Develop and execute a comprehensive product marketing strategy that clearly communicates StrongDM's value proposition to the market.
- Analyze the market, buyers, trends, industry-specific problems, and competitors to craft compelling messaging and positioning that highlights the unique benefits of StrongDM's solutions, differentiating us in the competitive landscape.
- Lead the creation of high-impact content that resonates with target audiences, including technical papers, case studies, blogs, videos, demos, and sales enablement.
- Be the quarterback for the product & solutions go-to-market plans for product launches and ongoing promotions in collaboration with sales, marketing, and product teams.
- Identify target personas, understand their key business problems and pain points, and articulate StrongDM’s value proposition to drive desired outcomesEquip sales teams with the tools, resources, and training they need to successfully sell StrongDM's products, including competitive insights, key selling points, use cases, sales plays, and objection handling.
- Foster strong relationships with customers to develop case studies and testimonials that showcase the success and impact of StrongDM's solutions.
- Collaborate with demand generation teams to execute targeted campaigns that drive pipeline.
- Present to customers, partners, and sales teams
REQUIREMENTS:
- 10+ years of experience in product marketing, solutions marketing, or outbound product management.
- Experience marketing an enterprise software solution to address cybersecurity issues
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful product marketing strategies in a fast-paced technology environment.
- Experience understanding technology at a deep level and the ability to translate to business needs concisely.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling stories and technical content.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and lead through influence.
- Solid experience in positioning work and writing marketing plans for complex products and/or market dynamics.
SUCCESS CRITERIA:
- Compelling market positioning that drives differentiation and demand: Successfully define and refine StrongDM’s messaging and positioning to clearly articulate differentiated value, leading to increased brand awareness, sales confidence, and improved win rates in competitive deals.
- Sales enablement that impacts pipeline and revenue: Deliver impactful enablement materials, including sales plays, competitive battlecards, and persona-specific content, resulting in measurable improvements in sales team effectiveness, average deal velocity, and pipeline contribution.
- High-impact launches and GTM execution: Lead the cross-functional execution of product launches and GTM motions that achieve adoption goals, generate pipeline, and align marketing, sales, and product around clear priorities and value narratives.
COMPENSATION:
- $200,000 - $240,000 + bonus + equity salary packages
