About the Role: 

The Senior Director of Product Marketing is a key leadership role responsible for developing and executing comprehensive product marketing strategies across a team of all-star contributors. This leader will be responsible for leading go-to-market initiatives and positioning across our products portfolio, showcasing Axonius as the leading solution for cyber asset attack surface management as well as our emerging products around SaaS, identities, software, and vulnerabilities. This is a pivotal leadership role within a rapidly expanding organization, offering the opportunity to shape the future of our product messaging, drive significant market adoption, and contribute directly to our continued success. You will be responsible for driving engagement with other strategic teams across demand generation, regional marketing, field enablement, product management, and engineering. This role will have high visibility across the business and with executive leadership. It is a great opportunity to join a rocketship and work alongside an exceptional marketing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Execute Product Marketing Strategy: Define the overall product marketing strategy, including target audience segmentation, value proposition development, messaging frameworks, and go-to-market plans for existing and new products.
  • Market Intelligence and Analysis: Conduct thorough market research, competitive analysis, and customer insights gathering to identify market opportunities, understand buyer needs, and inform product development and marketing strategies.
  • Value Proposition and Messaging: Craft compelling and differentiated product positioning, messaging, and value propositions that resonate with target audiences and highlight the unique benefits of our cybersecurity solutions.
  • Content Strategy and Development: Oversee the creation of high-impact marketing content, including website copy, white papers, case studies, presentations, webinars, videos, and other assets to support sales enablement and demand generation.
  • Product Launches: Lead the planning and execution of successful product launches, ensuring cross-functional alignment and effective communication to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Sales Enablement: Develop and deliver effective sales training materials, tools, and resources to equip the sales team with the knowledge and assets needed to effectively sell our products.
  • Demand Generation Support: Collaborate closely with the demand generation team to develop and execute targeted marketing campaigns that drive lead generation and pipeline growth.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of product marketing professionals, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
  • Performance Measurement and Optimization: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of product marketing initiatives and implement data-driven strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product management, engineering, sales, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of go-to-market strategies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or other technical field is strongly preferred. MBA or equivalent experience is a plus.
  • 12+ years of experience in product marketing, with a focus on cybersecurity, data management, application development, and/or IT operations.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing successful messaging strategies that drive field enablement, product launches, and revenue growth
  • Full ownership of product marketing deliverables for a portfolio of products and prior examples of helping B2B companies scale at a rapid pace.
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills with the ability to effectively convey complex ideas and concepts. Confidence in crafting product descriptions, website copy, and sales collateral.
  • Strategic thinker and hands-on executor. More than just an effective strategist, you’re someone who can get their hands dirty and deliver
  • You’re comfortable with marketing to buyers at all levels - exec and leadership down to practitioners, and crafting the right message for the right audience
  • Exceptional collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships across cross-functional teams
  • Hyper-organized and comfortable wrangling resources, timelines, technology, and people to accomplish objectives
  • Takes personal ownership and accountability for the highest standard of excellence in all aspects of work
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful product launches, field enablement efforts, and support for hyper growth demand generation programs. 
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
  • Strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to decision-making and problem-solving.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.

Please note: listed salary range is a national range, there may be some flexibility for NY, WA, and CA.

Axonius is committed to fair and equitable compensation packages. A candidate’s salary will be based on qualifications and relevant experience. In addition to a competitive salary, our packages include stock options, attractive benefits, and an annual bonus.

$250,000$300,000 USD
