Who we are:

Kymera is a clinical-stage biotechnology company pioneering the field of targeted protein degradation (TPD) to develop medicines that address critical health problems and have the potential to dramatically improve patients’ lives. Kymera is deploying TPD to address disease targets and pathways inaccessible with conventional therapeutics. Having advanced the first degrader into the clinic for immunological diseases, Kymera is focused on building an industry-leading pipeline of oral small molecule degraders to provide a new generation of convenient, highly effective therapies for patients with these conditions. Founded in 2016, Kymera has been recognized as one of Boston’s top workplaces for the past several years. The ideal candidate is an experienced HEOR leader with deep immunology expertise (dermatology and/or respiratory strongly preferred), a proven track record preparing for and supporting launches, and significant experience engaging national and regional payer stakeholders.

  • Strategic and forward-thinking, with the ability to translate scientific evidence into compelling value narratives.
  • Highly collaborative, diplomatic, and influential across functions and levels.
  • Strong communicator with exceptional scientific and business acumen.

  • Serve as a core member of the Medical Affairs Team, advising on evidence generation, clinical strategy, and payer-relevant insights.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment on value strategy across Medical Affairs, HEOR, Market Access, Clinical Development, Regulatory, Commercial, and Global teams.

Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR)

  • Oversee HEOR strategy, including economic modeling, treatment-pattern studies, and comparative-effectiveness analyses.
  • Guide development and validation of economic models (e.g., budget impact, cost-effectiveness) to support payer decision-making.
  • Lead creation of AMCP dossiers, value narratives, and scientific payer resources.

Real-World Evidence & Data Generation

  • Design and oversee RWE plans, including study concept refinement, protocol development, external data partnerships, and post-marketing evidence strategy.
  • Partner with Clinical Development and Data Science teams to integrate outcomes-focused endpoints into clinical trial design.

Payer & External Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain relationships with U.S. payer organizations, HTAs, integrated delivery networks, and employer groups to communicate clinical and economic value.
  • Lead scientific exchange with medical directors, formulary decision-makers, and population-health leaders.
  • Conduct advisory boards on HEOR, RWE, and access-related topics.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Enablement

  • Provide leadership for value and access–related launch preparation.
  • Collaborate with Market Access to ensure scientific accuracy and strategic alignment of access resources.
  • Serve as lead on health technology assessment (HTA) readiness for future ex-US markets, in partnership with global teams.
  • Support field medical teams with training on HEOR, RWE, and payer communication.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Build and lead a high-performing Outcomes, Value & Access team, fostering a culture of scientific excellence, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Manage budgets, timelines, and resource allocation across projects and vendors.

Skills and experience you’ll bring:

Required

  • Advanced degree: PharmD, PhD, MD, MS/MPH in HEOR, Epidemiology, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in Medical Affairs, HEOR, Market Access, or related roles in the biopharmaceutical industry.
  • Demonstrated leadership in building or expanding HEOR or Medical Value/Access functions.
  • Strong therapeutic experience in immunology, with dermatology and/or respiratory as a plus.
  • Proven track record developing payer-focused HEOR strategy, RWE programs, value communication tools, and AMCP dossiers.
  • Experience engaging directly with national and regional payer decision-makers.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. healthcare economics, HTA landscapes, and evolving value-based frameworks.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, science-driven, cross-functional environment.

Preferred

  • Experience supporting early-stage to launch-stage products in specialty immunology.
