Senior Director - Experience Design

The Senior Director, Experience Design leads the Experience Design capability within 3Cloud Advisory and is accountable for building a differentiated, commercially successful practice that helps clients design better customer, employee, and digital experiences.

This role connects human-centered insight with business strategy, operating-model transformation, organizational change, product strategy, and technology delivery. The Senior Director will advise senior executives, shape complex transformation opportunities, develop scalable Experience Design offerings, and lead multidisciplinary teams across research, experience strategy, service design, product design, and adoption.

The role operates across Advisory and 3Cloud’s technology service lines, ensuring experience considerations are embedded from initial strategy through solution design, implementation, adoption, and value realization. The Senior Director will partner closely with Business Advisory Services, Digital and Technology Transformation, Organizational Change Management, Data & AI, Cloud Platforms, Modern Workplace, Application Innovation, Sales, Architecture, and Delivery.

The successful candidate will combine the executive presence of a strategic advisor, the craft expertise of an experienced design leader, and the commercial discipline required to grow and operate a consulting capability.

Responsibilities

Practice Strategy & Capability Development

· Define the vision and growth strategy for Experience Design.

· Build differentiated offerings, methodologies, accelerators, and IP.

· Establish quality standards and reusable delivery methods.

· Position Experience Design within 3Cloud's Advisory portfolio.

· Incorporate AI and emerging technologies into design approaches.

Executive Advisory & Transformation Leadership

· Advise executives on experience-led business and technology transformation.

· Lead discovery workshops and executive strategy sessions.

· Connect experience strategy to business strategy, operating models, organizational change, and technology delivery.

· Partner across Advisory, Architecture, Engineering, and Delivery to ensure successful implementation.

· Build trusted executive relationships that create long-term client value.

Commercial Growth and Pursuit Leadership

· Drive pipeline, bookings, and revenue growth.

· Shape strategic pursuits and executive presentations.

· Convert advisory engagements into implementation opportunities.

· Improve solution differentiation and win rates.

Practice and Talent Leadership

· Recruit, coach, and develop Experience Design consultants.

· Establish competencies, career paths, and staffing approaches.

· Build a collaborative, high-performing consulting culture.

· Balance utilization, capability investment, and business growth.

· Foster knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Delivery Quality and Operational Management

· Provide executive oversight for strategic engagements.

· Ensure delivery quality, governance, and client satisfaction.

· Manage portfolio performance and delivery risk.

· Capture reusable assets and lessons learned.

Thought Leadership and Market Presence

· Represent 3Cloud externally through thought leadership and executive forums.

· Develop market perspectives on experience-led transformation.

· Strengthen 3Cloud's brand and strategic partnerships.

Requirements

· 15+ years in Experience Design, CX, Product Design, Service Design, or Management Consulting.

· Proven leadership of consulting teams or transformation practices.

· Executive advisory experience with C-suite clients.

· Experience shaping and selling consulting engagements.

· Strong commercial, consulting, and communication skills.

· Experience connecting design, technology, and business transformation.

· Ability to influence across a matrixed organization.

· Travel up to 50%.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience working within the Microsoft partner ecosystem.

· Experience within a global consulting, digital agency, product, or technology-services organization.

· Experience designing AI-enabled products, services, employee experiences, or customer interactions.

· Established market presence through speaking, publishing, industry participation, awards, or recognized thought leadership.
