Corporate Sales is verticalized with a focus on the Fortune 1000 across Life Sciences, Technology, Media and Telecom, Energy and Industrials, Consulting, and Consumer Packaged Goods. About the Role:

As we continue to scale our Strategic Accounts business, we're looking for a Senior Director, Strategic Sales to lead and develop a team of Sales Directors and their Account Executives focused exclusively on our largest and most strategic corporate accounts. Reporting to the VP, Global Strategic Sales, you will own the go-to-market strategy, performance, and leadership pipeline for a significant portion of the Strategic Accounts segment. This is a unique career opportunity to join a hyper-growth organization, work alongside exceptional leaders to learn from, and shape strategy, culture, and execution for one of our highest-priority segments.

Who You Are:

  • An Accomplished Sales Leader: 12+ years of experience in sales leadership within SaaS or high-growth tech, including leading leaders and building high-performing, multi-layered teams focused on large, complex, strategic accounts, with consistent target overachievement across industries and buyer personas.
  • A Strategic Thinker: A big-picture thinker with a clear growth strategy for both new logo and expansion motions, able to inspire and unify teams around a shared purpose, and execute with a commitment to excellence.
  • A Leader of Leaders: Proven ability to hire, develop, and retain front-line sales managers, set clear expectations, and build a bench of future leaders.
  • Data-Driven: Proficient with pipeline management, forecasting, and performance metrics, leveraging CRM and analytics tools for decision-making and enhancing team performance.
  • A Strong Cross-Functional Collaborator: Skilled in collaborating across departments, engaging key stakeholders, and working with senior leaders to foster co-ownership and shared success on multi-departmental initiatives.
  • An Outstanding Communicator: Strong written and verbal skills with executive presence, able to articulate vision and inspire both internal teams and clients, from Analysts to C-level executives, through open and constructive dialogue.
  • Client-Centric: Deep understanding of the largest corporate accounts and their buying dynamics, committed to delivering client value and cultivating long-term, mutually beneficial relationships at the enterprise level.
  • An Inspirational Coach: Skilled in coaching and developing high-performing sales professionals, dedicated to feedback and team growth, and known as a champion of AlphaSense's culture and values.
  • Knowledgeable: Familiar with the personas we sell into, including Corporate Strategy, Market Intelligence, Business Development, M&A, Investor Relations, and other research-related functions.

What You’ll Do:

  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead Sales Directors, Pod Leaders, and their teams of Account Executives, who manage end-to-end sales processes across a book of strategic accounts. Build, inspire, and lead a high-performance organization focused on collaboration, inclusivity, and growth, fostering a supportive, high-accountability environment where feedback is valued to drive development.
  • Segment Strategy & Execution: Partner with the VP, Global Strategic Sales to shape and execute a strategy for both new logo acquisition and expansion within our largest, most complex, named strategic accounts, aligned with AlphaSense's global objectives. Identify whitespace and new logo opportunities among top-tier target companies, and drive account planning discipline across your organization.
  • Data-Driven Management: Use CRM and analytics tools to track sales metrics, forecast accurately, and make informed decisions that drive continuous improvement. Promote alignment around key KPIs to sustain transparency and accountability, and provide regular reporting to senior leadership on pipeline progress and notable milestones.
  • Executive Engagement: Engage directly with senior stakeholders at our highest-value prospects and clients, from Analysts to C-level executives, to understand their needs, deliver solutions, and build long-term, enterprise-wide partnerships. Support your teams on the most complex, high-value deals.
