Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Sr Director of Corporate Communications to lead our integrated communications function. This leader will be responsible for elevating Precisely in the market and fostering employee engagement and culture through expertly designed and flawlessly executed communications programs. The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking communicator who brings empathy, sound judgment, and a strong sense of urgency to the role, with proven experience managing high-impact communications and executive thought leadership initiatives in fast-paced environments. This role reports to the VP of Corporate Marketing and leads a team of communications professionals who own Corporate Communications, Public Relations, and Customer Marketing.
What you will do:
- Lead the development and execution of an integrated communications strategy across corporate communications with depth of knowledge around brand, audience, tone of voice, channel utilization, and delivery.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior executives, directing executive communications, thought leadership, and reputation management.
- Shape and grow the company’s executive social media program, driving engagement and amplifying corporate and customer stories.
- Advance Precisely’s public relations strategy, furthering our thought leadership in data integrity, and significantly elevating the company’s visibility and position in the market.
- Evolve our approach to earned, owned, and paid media by fostering broader and deeper media and influencer relationships with Precisely.
- Own end-to-end public relations process, including working with internal team and agency partners; defining core messaging and target outlets; conducting interviews with press; and program measurement.
- Drive the Precisely communications cadence including all-hands meetings, bi-weekly company newsletter, intranet management and more to keep employees informed, engaged and aligned at every level.
- Advise, collaborate and deliver on necessary communications frameworks and deliverables for corporate level initiatives including M&A, annual global kickoff, and more.
- Elevate Precisely customer marketing strategy by expanding the reach and volume of customer stories and external validation in the market.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing communications team, fostering collaboration and alignment across the organization.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, English, or related field
- 10+ years of progressive experience in communications in a high-tech environment, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
- Proven success in developing and executing integrated communications strategies in complex organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage executive-level communications and counsel C-suite leaders
- Exceptional writing, storytelling, and presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex ideas
- Strong media relations expertise and crisis communications experience
- Strong executive presence and a passion for working with and supporting senior leaders
- Savvy communicator who can think and write for executive, press, and internal audiences and can advise the business accordingly
- Impressive project management skills with a knack for managing multiple moving parts and driving participation across multiple functions and colleagues
- High level of respect for confidential information
- Data-driven and analytical, with attention to detail
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, highly visible area of the business
- Empathetic leader with strong judgment, adaptability, and an action-oriented mindset
- Proven ability to lead, influence without authority, and build trust amongst your team, colleagues, journalists, customers, and other stakeholders
- Experience developing and managing high-performance teams that uphold company values, work well across functions, and are positively and proactively engaged in the business
