Job Summary
Network Development FunctionThe Mass General Brigham Network Development team works collaboratively across the organization to develop, source, nurture, and grow relationships that advance MGB’s strategic priorities. The team ensures that existing clinical affiliations are effectively managed while pursuing new partnerships to meet the needs of hospitals, physician organizations, departments, centers, and the system overall. The team will strategically and efficiently evaluate potential targets for mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, affiliations, and other partnership models to achieve this goal. The network development function will assess which relationships will be most valuable to MGB and its entities, vet potential partners, identify optimal deal structures, execute agreements, and collaborate with planning and implementation teams across the system. The team will focus on capability building by implementing standardized workflows and processes.
Summary: Responsible for leading the strategic planning and execution of network development initiatives. Focuses on expanding partnerships, increasing service offerings, and improving access to care across the healthcare system. Ensures the network aligns with organizational growth objectives and enhances the organization's competitive position.
Qualifications
Responsible for overseeing the planning, financial performance, and operational effectiveness of business operations across the organization. Leads efforts to develop and streamline processes, improve efficiency, and align departmental goals with organizational objectives. Collaborates with senior leadership to drive network initiatives, operational excellence, and ensure compliance with industry regulations. Works with external affiliates to implement initiatives and advance partnership goals and objectives. Manages network activity across MGB entities, institutes and departments.
Essential Functions
Leads the development and execution of strategic business and network development plans to support hospital growth and efficiency.
Oversees day-to-day operations and ensures alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
Manages departmental budgets, forecasts, and financial performance, identifying opportunities for cost savings.
Develops and implements process improvements and structures to enhance productivity and operational effectiveness.
Works closely with senior management to support decision-making, partnership implementation, and resource allocation.
Ensures compliance with healthcare regulations and hospital policies across business operations.
Leads cross-functional teams to develop and execute hospital-wide network related initiatives.
Develops performance metrics to measure operational success and ensures accountability at all levels.

Experience in healthcare business development or network management 8-10+ years required and Experience in a leadership role 5-7 years required and Proven experience in developing and managing healthcare partnerships and networks 5-7 years required and Experience in a hospital or health system setting 3-5 years preferred
