What we’re looking for
We’re looking for a strategic and creative marketing leader to own our brand strategy, content marketing, and research. As Sr. Director of Brand & Content Strategy, you’ll shape how our story is told, understood, and experienced by customers, prospects, and the broader market. You will be a steward for how millions of users, from individuals to enterprises, experience and connect with the SurveyMonkey brand. You’ll define our brand positioning and messaging, lead a high-performing content engine, uncover insights that drive smarter decisions, and build programs that expand our reach and relevance. You’ll help define how our brand evolves for the future and how it shows up in the moments that matter.
What you’ll be working on
- Lead the brand strategy across the business, ensuring we have a clear and differentiated position in the market. You’ll define the brand vision and identity, and bring consistency and clarity across our product portfolio, marketing programs, and customer experiences.
- Oversee the development and execution of integrated brand campaigns, co-marketing initiatives, influencer activations, and sponsorships that expand our reach, build preference, and elevate the brand in meaningful ways.
- Lead the development and execution of a unified content strategy that drives awareness, engagement, and conversion. This includes editorial planning, thought leadership, SEO content, and data-driven storytelling. You’ll ensure we’re telling the right stories to the right people in the right places.
- Drive a research function that informs brand and go-to-market strategy. You’ll oversee brand health tracking, market and audience research, and survey-driven insight generation. Your work will shape messaging, media storytelling, and marketing direction.
- Lead cross-functional brand strategy efforts in collaboration with product marketing, growth, creative, comms, and executive leadership. You’ll help embed brand thinking into how we build, launch, and scale our offerings—ensuring our story is cohesive across every touchpoint.
- Take smart, creative risks that help the brand cut through the noise and create emotional resonance with customers. You’ll push us to think bigger and bolder—driving long-term brand value and business impact.
- Build and manage a high-performing team spanning brand marketing, content, and research. You’ll foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and accountability, where great ideas thrive and people enjoy the work and the process.
We’d love to hear from people with
- 10–15+ years in brand strategy or related marketing leadership roles
- Proven ability to define brand positioning and scale a consistent narrative across channels
- Deep understanding of modern content strategy, especially in a dual B2C and B2B business
- Experience conducting or managing both quantitative and qualitative research
- Exceptional storytelling skills - written, visual, and data-driven
- Comfort operating at both strategic and executional levels
