About Topline Pro

We’re building AI powered Shopify for service businesses. We help service pros (e.g., roofers, landscapers, painters, cleaners) acquire direct business, fast. Up and running within minutes using Gen AI, our digital storefront products help pros get discovered, trusted, and booked repeatedly.

Topline Pro is co-founded by Nick Ornitz (CEO) and Shannon Kay (COO) with an excellent team of 70+ rockstars with plans to expand more in 2025. We serve thousands of local service businesses and were named as one of the 2023 and 2024 top 50 Tech Companies building for SMBs.

We're YC-backed and well funded with several years of runway, and we’ve experienced rapid growth in the past year. We're in a phenomenal position to scale—with the financial foundation, product-market fit, and momentum to go big. You’ll be joining at an inflection point—where the groundwork is laid and the path to massive impact is clear.

We’re expanding our Engineering team, and this role will provide an opportunity to have a significant impact on the product. Come help us scale to the next level!

We believe “great candidates” do not come about through simply a checkmark next to past experiences. We believe in hiring people not just skills. Even if you do not check every box but find excitement at the prospect of working with us in this capacity, please apply.

⚡ What you'll do

  • Architect, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure

  • Own and improve CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, safe, and reliable software delivery

  • Build robust observability and alerting systems to ensure performance, reliability, and uptime

  • Partner closely with engineering teams to automate environments and streamline developer workflows

  • Lead decision-making around infrastructure tools, practices, and standards with a long-term view

  • Champion best practices in infrastructure-as-code, cloud security, and deployment automation

  • Serve as the primary point of ownership for all DevOps operations—this is not a support role; it’s a high-impact individual contributor role with high visibility and foundational influence across the engineering organization.

🎯 What we’re looking for

  • 6+ years in DevOps, Site Reliability, or Infrastructure Engineering roles

  • Strong expertise in AWS (or equivalent cloud platforms)

  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform required)

  • Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or similar

  • Proficiency with containerization and deployment using Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes, AWS Fargate, or EKS

  • Familiarity with monitoring, alerting, and security best practices

  • Comfort working with backend languages; Python experience is a plus

  • Experience supporting engineering teams in Agile/Scrum environments

💎 How You'll Show Up

We are a values-driven team, and we look for teammates who embody the following:

  • Be an Owner: You take full responsibility for outcomes. You act in the company’s best interest, move with urgency, and drive impact.

  • No Bullshit: You value clear thinking, direct communication, and honest decision-making. You say what you mean and follow through.

  • Think Big, Learn Fast: You’re curious, ambitious, and fast to experiment. You approach challenges with optimism and iterate toward better solutions.

  • One Team, One Dream: You believe great outcomes come from great collaboration. You build strong relationships and operate with humility.

  • Empower Every Voice: You listen actively and communicate clearly. You make space for others and engage with respect.

  • Celebrate Wins: You recognize and appreciate both team and individual achievements. You bring energy and positivity to your work.

🙌 What we offer

  • Competitive cash compensation $150k-$180k + equity package

  • Work 4-days / week in office in downtown Boston, 1 day flexible from home

  • Full Medical, Dental and Vision Health Coverage

  • Computer and workspace enhancements

  • Monthly stipend for mental and physical health

  • 401(k) plan (non-matching)

  • Unlimited vacation, 9 company holidays, and 1 personal volunteer day a year

  • Opportunity to take on significant responsibility and ownership in scaling a product that can change the lives of home service pros
