Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Development & Build Management: Design, build, and maintain efficient CI/CD pipelines to automate the build and testing processes for C# and Angular applications. Ensure that all code is consistently integrated and properly tested across different environments. Ownership of the build and packaging process.
- Build Pipeline Optimization: Collaborate with development teams to improve build performance, reliability, and scalability by fine-tuning build configurations, dependencies, and artifact management using Azure DevOps tools.
- Release Management: Oversee the deployment and release management processes, ensuring smooth and consistent application deployment through automated pipelines. Ensure releases are executed efficiently and in compliance with quality standards.
- Azure Cloud Infrastructure: Manage and optimize Azure Pipelines, Azure Artifacts, and GitHub to enhance the development lifecycle.
- Azure Automation & Integration: Leverage Azure DevOps Services to automate workflows and integrate different systems across the development and deployment pipeline. Focus on creating automated solutions for build, test, and release pipelines. Utilize scripting tools to deploy and launch services.
- Windows Server & IIS Administration: Administer and maintain Windows Server environments and IIS configurations for application hosting. Ensure that all applications are deployed and performing optimally on Windows-based infrastructure.
- Collaboration: Work closely with software developers, quality assurance engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment between development goals and deployment processes, troubleshoot issues, and optimize the workflow.
- Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Set up logging, monitoring, and alerting to detect and resolve issues proactively across the development, build, and deployment pipelines.
- Installer: Develop and modify the application installer, remove the manual steps and process driven by configurations
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role, with a focus on development, build, and release management.
- Strong experience in C# development, with a deep understanding of integrating C# applications into CI/CD pipelines.
- Extensive experience with Azure DevOps tools, including Azure Pipelines and Azure Artifacts.
- Solid understanding and hands-on experience with Azure Cloud services, including automation tools like Azure Resource Manager.
- Strong experience managing and deploying applications on Windows Server and IIS environments.
- Proficient in version control, specifically Git and GitHub.
- Experience with build tools such as MSBuild, NuGet, or other build/dependency management tools.
- Knowledge of Jira for task and release management within a DevOps environment.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to optimize build and deployment pipelines.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Develop experience with Angular or other JavaScript frameworks, and experience integrating these technologies into build automation processes.
- Database experience with Oracle, MS SQL Server, and Azure SQL Server
- SaaS migration experience.
- Monitoring tools for cloud environments
Bonus Qualifications:
- Experience with Azure Functions or Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) for application deployment.
- Experience in implementing Infrastructure-as-Code and continuous delivery pipelines in an Azure environment.
