The Senior DevOps Engineer will manage AWS applications, automate infrastructure, write scripts, monitor operations, and ensure security practices.
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our NRS Team, focused on ensuring the smooth operation of our development, testing, and production environments.
This role involves exploring, recommending, testing, and implementing new technologies and approaches to enhance security, performance, and productivity.
Primary location - Minsk!
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a Devops roles
- Minimum 2 additional years as software engineer
- Deep understanding of AWS architecture and features
- Experience supporting applications deployed on Ubuntu (accessing and interpreting logfiles, knowledge of tools to examine and manage processes, knowledge of tools for examining system resources)
- Experience debugging network issues to help isolate the root cause of communication problems
- Experience managing applications in AWS using services: EC2, Kinesis, RDS, IAM, Secrets
- Configure AWS access control for users and system components
- Experience with ssh, and configuring/managing secure access to cloud instances
- Professional experience in a Linux system programming development role
- Professional experience with scripting languages including shell, PHP, and calling APIs
- Experience with Linux system administration, network administration, and security practices
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both individually and in a team environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including documenting data flow
- Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group: clients, executives, managers, and coworkers
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Experience with PostgreSQL
- Experience with GitHub, Jira
- Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science or related field
Primary responsibilities:
- Creating appropriate roles and permissions for all users and resources
- Creating infrastructure automation templates for all our cloud components
- Writing scripts for AWS infrastructure tools
- Writing bash scripts used in our deployment configuration tools
- Ensuring appropriate Alarms are established, and monitoring overall operations of the deployment
- Responding to alarms as required
- Performance measurements and Capacity planning
- Disaster Recovery Planning and Implementation
- Ensure best practice security policies are implemented
- Maintain infrastructure documentation
