Additionally, we move at the pace of AI. Change is rapid, and you can expect your day-to-day work to evolve just as quickly. This may not be the right role if you’re not excited to experiment, adapt, think on your feet, and learn constantly, or if you’re seeking something highly prescriptive with a traditional 9-to-5.

About the role

Deepgram's Brand Marketing is growing into a collaborative Brand Studio with dedicated creative leadership, an evolving design system, and clear ways of working. We're looking for a Senior Designer who pairs strong craft with sound judgment: someone who can move work forward independently, knows when a project calls for a fresh set of eyes, and thrives in a studio where ideas are explored together. As an AI company, we're excited about how AI can expand what a small creative team can do, and we want designers who share that excitement.

You'll report to our Design Director and work closely with partners across Marketing and the wider company, turning business needs into polished, on-brand design.

What you'll do

  • Bring big creative ideas and high impact execution. Look to push Deepgram’s creative bar and highlight the power of voice.

  • Take on the full range of design work a growing brand needs, from high-profile concepts like event branding and environmental design to keynote presentations to iterative, production-focused tasks.

  • Contribute to design challenges and parallel creative explorations, and fully support whichever direction the team moves forward with.

  • Drive projects from brief to delivery by keeping momentum, setting milestones, identifying next steps, and surfacing risks and blockers early.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to understand their goals and requirements, then translate that context into design work aligned with Brand Studio direction.

  • Execute confidently within our design system, brand guidelines, and templates, from slide decks and data tables to campaign assets.

  • Recognize when work is new, high-visibility, or precedent-setting, and bring it to creative leadership for alignment at the right moment.

  • Collaborate with fellow designers, contractors, and other creative resources on shared projects.

  • Stay current as our design system and brand standards evolve, and help put new standards into practice.

  • Use preference testing and other available data to inform design decisions.

  • Use AI tools to speed up exploration, iteration, and production, from generating early concepts and variations to automating repetitive tasks, while keeping the final work to our brand and craft standards.

  • Help the team try out new AI-assisted creative workflows and share what works.

What we're looking for

  • 7+ years of experience in brand, marketing, or communication design, ideally in-house at a fast-growing technical B2B/SaaS company or relevant agency experience.

  • A portfolio showing polished, production-ready work with strong typography, hierarchy, spacing, color, and attention to detail across print and digital.

  • Experience working within and extending design systems and brand guidelines.

  • Sound judgment about when to work independently and when to seek alignment, and comfort escalating early with context and proposed solutions.

  • Strong prioritization skills and the ability to flag competing demands and trade-offs before they become problems.

  • Clear, proactive communication about status, decisions, and risks.

  • A collaborative mindset: you enjoy creative exploration, take feedback well, and incorporate direction accurately.

  • Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders while keeping design direction coherent.

  • Proficiency in Figma (and Figma Weave), Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects), Presentation design software (Google slides)

  • Hands-on experience with AI tools in a design workflow (for example, image generation, AI features in Figma or Adobe, or AI-assisted copy and layout), and a good sense of where they help and where human craft matters most.

  • Curiosity about how AI is changing creative work, and the ability to adapt processes as the tools evolve.

How we work

We work as a collaborative studio. Multiple designers may explore the same problem, and projects often have several contributors. We measure success by craft, judgment, reliability, and collaboration, not by whose concept gets picked. Regular check-ins with your manager keep priorities clear and support your growth.
