Key Responsibilities:
- Design solution data flows and implement scalable, high-performing database architectures to meet business goals.
- Develop proof-of-concepts and evaluate new technologies and approaches.
- Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Developers, and QA teams to ensure solutions align with business requirements and design standards.
- Perform deep data analysis and large data set processing using complex SQL.
- Conduct provider-related data processing (payments, fees, credentialing, directories, etc.).
- Ensure data quality and integrity across systems and workflows.
- Work with testing teams to validate implementations and ensure compliance with design.
- Interface with stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into actionable data solutions.
- Schedule and monitor data workflows using Airflow or Cloud Composer in a GCP environment.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and use Azure DevOps (ADO) for task tracking and delivery.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 10–12+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or solution architecture roles.
- Strong solutioning skills: ability to work from requirements through to working prototypes and final design.
- Expert-level SQL skills: writing complex queries, stored procedures, and commands for large datasets.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and related services.
- Hands-on experience with BigQuery (data warehouse).
- Experience with Apache Airflow and/or Cloud Composer for batch job scheduling and workflow orchestration.
- Proven ability to conduct data analysis independently this is a hands-on role, not an oversight-only position.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with business stakeholders to gather and clarify requirements.
- Experience in the healthcare payer or provider space, specifically working with provider networks, payments, and directories.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SQL Server in addition to BigQuery.
- Background in building data solutions in a hybrid cloud environment.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps (ADO) for Agile delivery tracking.
- Experience working in a mixed onshore/offshore team structure.
