We're hiring a Senior Customer Success Manager (DI, North America) to own Teamworks' conference-level relationships across Division I collegiate athletics, from renewal strategy to expansion. I'm Tom Anderson, Director of Customer Success at Teamworks.
As conference-wide adoption of Teamworks grows, the conference-level relationship needs a dedicated owner and customer success point of contact. Conference-wide relationships touch multiple member schools, multiple internal teams, and often the conference office's own operations, and today no single person owns the full process overseeing all facets of the relationship. This role is being created to serve as the lead on Teamworks' conference office relationships, to be the person who knows every conference-wide agreement inside and out, builds real relationships with conference office leadership, and makes sure renewals and strategic expansion happen.
You'll be joining our Collegiate Customer Success team at a moment when conference-level work is becoming its own discipline, distinct from school-level account management, and you'll have real room to define how we do it.
Own conference-level relationships and renewals across our Division I conference partnerships, coordinating closely with school-level Customer Success Managers, Product Success Managers, Sales, and Business Development to drive alignment
Build our presence at the conference level, creating opportunities to demonstrate value even where no formal conference-wide agreement exists today
Lead the conference-wide renewal process end to end, building workback and strategic plans well ahead of renewal dates to protect against risk
Drive adoption and value delivery of both conference-wide products used by member schools and products the conference office uses for its own operations, and identify opportunities for expanded usage
Identify and develop cross-sell and upsell opportunities across our Collegiate market at the conference level
Senior administrative experience (i.e. Deputy Commissioner, Associate Athletic Director, Senior Associate Commissioner, Deputy Athletic Director) within a collegiate athletic department or collegiate conference office — this is a hard requirement given the trust and context these relationships demand
Working knowledge of how conference offices operate internally and how they support their member institutions
Project management experience, with a track record of managing complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives to completion
Relationship management experience, ideally with conference office administrators or senior athletic department staff
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with experience coordinating across internal teams and external stakeholders on shared initiatives
You've used Teamworks products yourself, giving you immediate credibility and context with the customers you'll be supporting
You've worked at a SaaS company and understand renewal and expansion cycles
This is a brand-new role on our Collegiate Customer Success team, due to the level of recent growth with NCAA conference who are adopting Teamworks products. You'll have the rare chance to build a strategic function from scratch, working across our full Collegiate CS, PS, and Sales teams, while shaping how Teamworks partners with some of the most influential offices in college athletics.
This role is not eligible for sponsorship at this time.
To all recruitment agencies: Teamworks does not accept agency resumes. Please do not forward resumes to our jobs alias, Teamworks employees or any other organization location. Teamworks is not responsible for any fees related to unsolicited resumes.
