The Senior BDR role at Inflection involves booking qualified opportunities for the sales team, utilizing personalized outbound strategies and various tools, while reporting directly to the co-founder.
The summary above was generated by AI

Inflection.io is a modern B2B marketing automation solution used by leading SaaS companies such as Twilio, Sauce Labs, Mural, Postman, and more. Inflection has a fresh, unique perspective on the space, and is founded by repeat founders with a previous successful exit (Bizible). We have clear ICP, routinely closed 6-figure ARR deals, have a 5 star rating on G2, have well over 100% NRR. We’ve raised $14M in total since 2021 with $7.6M of fresh funding in 2024, giving us many years of runway.

We are looking for a Senior BDR to help us grow Inflection.io. Your #1 goal will be to book qualified opportunities for the sales team.

Compared to other companies, we likely do less “spray and pray” mass outbound than them and likely more deeply personalization and relevance outbound. For example, one of our best outbound campaigns today are re-engaging closed-lost accounts using what we learned from Fathom recording.

This role is for you if you are:

  • You are an extremely curious person. You need to be comfortable executing proven playbooks, but also be at the forefront of defining the playbooks for the next era. You must also be willing to put in the effort to understand our product, our prospect’s challenges, and how we can help them. There is very little “sales collateral” like battle cards to help you, there is no dedicated BDR manager to coach you, etc.

  • Excited about working with new tools such as Apollo, Sumble, Clay, Vector, and others. We have no defined tech stack other than Salesforce for CRM and Inflection.io for marketing automation. Maybe you even consider yourself a part-time GTM Engineer.

  • You are comfortable reporting to the VP of Sales who has high expectations. You will have regular guidance, but no formal BDR manager guiding you every day.

  • Are a great communicator. This includes both internal and external communication.

  • A current successful BDR at a technology company. Bonus points if you have been employed at a marketing technology company. This role is not for you if this is your first job.

We look forward to meeting you!

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
